Get your game faces on! It’s Super Bowl weekend and you’re trying to find a restaurant to watch the game with vegan food options.
Below you will find 12 chain restaurants in the United States that are showing the game AND will have animal-free food for you. Some restaurants have TV’s all around while others may have them prominently at the bar area. You may want to contact the restaurant itself to learn what your options will be in that regard.
12 Restaurants with Vegan Food for the Super Bowl
Each restaurant listing will have a couple of items you will be able to order. We suggest visiting the vegan guide we have created for that restaurant if you have additional questions–including information on cross-contamination*.
The vegan guides are linked in the title of each restaurant.
Applebee’s
Applebee’s has a couple of items that we love for a Super Bowl. For an appetizer, you can order the White Queso Dip & Chips. No, the queso is NOT vegan. You will SUB the cheese with either guacamole or chipotle lime salsa. A great entree will be the Impossible Cheeseburger with NO cheese and a side.
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse
At BJ’s, you will find an array of options you can make vegan. None of them feel very Super Bowl food-like but you can at least put together a meal. The BJ’s Brewhouse Bowl comes with the most flavorful and filling ingredient combination. There are a couple of modifications–order it with NO feta or Greek yogurt crema.
They also offer a few salads that can be modified along with a variety of sides.
Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar
If you have a Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar AND are vegan, this is a great spot for you! The options are much wider than most restaurants let alone sports bars. For Starters, you can order Chips & Salsa, Buffalo Cauliflower (with modifications) and Cactus Cuts (with mods).
They have a few salads and dressings. Boston’s Pizza offers the Beyond Burger and plenty of sides. Or maybe a pizza is what you’re craving. While they do not offer a vegan cheese, you can create a pizza with so many veggies on top, that you’ll never miss the cheese.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings, or BDUBs as we have always called it, is where I hold most of my memories watching games or MMA fights (yes, this is Jen writing this–lol). I would love to say that they have great options but since they use cow fat to fry everything in, that takes a few menu items off the list that typically would be a vegan go-to.
For Appetizers, you have two options that are both great. One of them requires your location to know how to modify it. And that is the Asian Zing Cauliflower Wings. Typically, these are fried. A couple of years ago, we were made aware that all BWW’s had been taught how to bake the cauliflower wings as a different way to prepare them. This preparation makes them a vegan option.
We have had one VeggL user let us know that their location in Texas said they did not know how to do it. Due to this, you may want to contact your location before going if the cauliflower wings are the menu item you plan on ordering.
Otherwise, order the Everything Pretzel Knots (with mods), a Garden Salad or the Southwest Black Bean Burger (with mods).
Chili’s
We love the array of menu items you surprisingly get vegan at Chili’s. Guacamole & Chips, Fajitas, a Black Bean Burger or a combo of sides are all great options. Double check our vegan guide for Chili’s to see how to order the fajitas and burger, along with seeing what your side options are.
Mellow Mushroom
If you want a really good vegan pizza for the Super Bowl, we have two restaurants we recommend on this list and Mellow Mushroom is one of them! They use Follow Your Heart cheese which makes for a melty-gooey cheesy pizza. If your location offers the Thai Dye Pizza, this is my go-to, while Ryan’s is the Kosmic Karma. Both require modifications. You can also build your own though.
If pizza isn’t your jam, they have vegan-friendly salads and hoagies.
Melt Bar & Grilled
Melt Bar & Grilled has the most insane vegan menu for a non-vegan chain restaurant. Where do I begin? My favorites are the Fried Pickles, French Onion Soup and Vegan Cowboy Salad. Yes, they have vegan fried pickles and vegan French onion soup. Do I need even need to go any further?
Ryan also liked the Fried Pickles and the Vegan Chorizo & Potato Grilled Cheese. What we are hesitant to recommend is their vegan macaroni & cheese. Ours was not good. Maybe it was just our location but we’ve seen others mention this as well.
Red Robin
At Red Robin, order an Impossible Gourmet Cheeseburger (with NO cheese or mayo) or their Veggie Burger. You can also customize one if the toppings on these aren’t to your liking. Pair it with some fries, broccoli or maybe a salad.
Ruby Tuesday
If you’re watching the big game at Ruby Tuesday, order the Impossible Indulgent Burger with some tots or fries. If a burger isn’t what you want, their pasta is surprisingly good. Pair that with the Fresh Garden Bar and you have a complete meal.
TGI Fridays
Chips & Salsa, a Beyond Meat Burger (with mods) and a couple of sides are going to be your vegan options at TGI Fridays for the Super Bowl.
UNO Pizzeria
We finally visited an UNO Pizzeria in 2023 and let me tell you, the Vegan Cheeseburger Deep Dish Pizza is legit! I could not believe that putting burger toppings on a pizza was something I had never thought of before–it was so good. Highly recommend that but they also have a Classic Beyond Burger, a couple of other vegan pizza menu items and a few sides.
Yard House
Yard House might be the sports bar where we’ve had the most fun pre-gaming. With all of their TVs, this will be a good spot to watch the Super Bowl. They have plenty of appetizers & snacks including “wings,” guac & chips, a Bavarian pretzel and even edamame.
For entrees, you can find a couple of sandwiches, including a Beyond Burger, a salad and a bowl. Pay attention to the modifications here at Yard House. Visit our vegan guide for details–the link is in the title of the name here.
Wrapping It Up!
If you plan to either go out and watch the 2024 Super Bowl or maybe order food to-go, you have plenty of chain restaurants across the United States where you can get vegan-friendly food.
Most of your options are going to be pizza or burgers but you can always find some more healthy greens at most of these locations.
We have vegan guides for over 230 chain restaurants in the United States on VeggL.com. If the restaurant you are looking for is not on this list, we may have it here! And if we don’t, let us know and we’ll try to get one created.
* As with any restaurant that is not 100% vegan or does not offer a designated cooking space for their vegan options, cross-contamination can occur and fryers/grills may be shared with animal products. You can choose what your level of comfort is with these potential issues.
