Dunkin’ 2024 Vegan Spring Guide

Vegan Options at Dunkin USA

Dunkin’ likes to keep us on our toes with announcing their 2024 spring menu late February. But here we are and we’re trying to figure out if any of it is vegan-friendly!

We will go through what drinks and food they are debuting with their spring 2024 menu, let you know if any of them are vegan as-is or can be modified. We’ll then give you a couple of other options we like to get in the spring.

But before we get into our Dunkin 2024 vegan spring guide, we have to remind you that coconut milk is no longer an option at Dunkin’. So for those of us who only really liked the Dunkin’ Refreshers with coconut milk (I am one of those people), this spring is going to taste a lot different.

Dunkin’ 2024 Vegan Spring Guide

What Food Has Been Added?

Churro Donuts, a Breakfast Empanada and Banana Chocolate Chip Bread have all being added to Dunkin’s menu for the spring of 2024.

Are any of them vegan?

No.

The churro donut contains cow’s milk and egg. The breakfast empanada contains also contains cow’s milk and egg. And the banana chocolate chip bread contains egg.

What Drink(s) Have Been Added?

New to the lineup is SPARKD’ Energy–a Berry Burst and Peach Sunshine flavored drink. These two drinks are fruit-flavored drinks, similar to the Refreshers, but also contain vitamins, minerals and a kick of caffeine, according to Dunkin’.

They are also spicing up spring with two new cinnamon-based coffee drinks; The Churro Signature Latte and the Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee.

Are any of these vegan? Let’s find out!

Are Dunkin’s SPARKD’ Energy Drinks Vegan?

The Berry Burst and Peach Sunshine flavored SPARKD’ Energy drinks are considered accidentally vegan. They both contain an energy-flavored syrup that includes a guarana seed blend (the energy part) and a vitamin and mineral blend. The flavor syrup is combined with sparkling water for a fresh new way to get through your day.

The Berry Burst taste is of raspberry and strawberry flavors while the Peach Sunshine is a combo of lychee and peach.

Is Dunkin’s Churro Signature Latte Vegan?

The Churro Signature Latte is a brewed espresso coffee with cow’s milk, Dunkin’s Churro flavored swirl syrup, whipped cream and a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar.

This is NOT vegan as-is. The cow’s milk and whipped cream are your biggest problems.

Just because the Churro Signature Latte cannot be ordered vegan doesn’t mean you do not get to enjoy this deeeelicious cinnamon-based drink as a vegan, plant-based or dairy-free person. Because guess what? The coffee is without animal ingredients and the churro-flavored swirl syrup along with the cinnamon sugar dusting are both accidentally vegan.

HOW TO ORDER VEGAN:

Order a Latte (hot or iced) with the Churro-flavored swirl syrup, your choice of non-dairy milk (oat or almond) and a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar on top.

The ingredients in the churro-flavored swirl syrup, according to Dunkin’s ingredient list are:

Churro Flavored Swirl Syrup: Brown Sugar, Water, Invert Syrup, Refiners Syrup, Contains 2% or less of the following: Molasses, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Distilled Monoglycerides

Is Dunkin’s Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee Vegan?

Dunkin’s Cinnamon Vanilla coffee is a blend of brewed Arabica coffee, the Churro-flavored swirl syrup, light cream made from cow’s milk and vanilla flavoring.

This drink is NOT vegan as-is with the light cream being your dairy-based issue.

HOW TO ORDER VEGAN:

Order a Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee with NO cream. SUB with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat or almond). Simple as that!

The ingredients in your vegan-ized Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee will be:

Your choice of non-dairy milk +

Brewed Arabica Coffee; Churro Flavored Syrup: Brown Sugar, Water, Invert Syrup, Refiners Syrup, Contains 2% or less of the following: Molasses, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Distilled Monoglycerides; Vanilla Flavor: Natural Flavors, Contains 2% or less of: Fruit Juice for Color.

What Do We Suggest In Addition To Dunkin’s Spring Menu?

Since Dunkin’s 2024 spring menu is leaving a lot to be desired (mostly food-wise), we’ll give you a couple of other drink and food suggestions.

Drinks

Mixed Berry Beats Dunkin’ Refresher

Dunkin’s Mixed Berry Beats is the latest Dunkin Refresher added to the menu and is a combo of brewed green tea with strawberry dragonfruit flavors and raspberry flavoring.

Dunkin’ Hazelnut Mocha Latte

Have you tried doing combos of flavors at Dunkin’ yet? We think the Hazelnut Syrup and Mocha Swirl combo is delicious.

TO MAKE IT VEGAN: Order a Latte with Hazelnut Syrup, a Mocha Swirl and your choice of non-dairy milk.

Sweetened Iced Tea with Raspberry or Blueberry Flavoring

We rarely think about getting tea from Dunkin’ so I added it to the list in case you have as well. Iced Tea can be ordered sweetened or unsweetened and with flavorings like raspberry or blueberry.

Dunkin’ sweetens their tea with liquid cane sugar.

Matcha Latte, iced or hot

TO MAKE IT VEGAN. Order a Matcha Latte with your choice of non-dairy milk.

Dunkin’s Matcha Lattes are very simple. It’s the milk of your choice +

Matcha Blend: Cane Sugar, Matcha Green Tea, Fruit Pectin.

Food

Avocado Toast

We are big fans of Dunkin’s Avocado Toast. We wish we could tell you to order the Avocado & Roasted Tomato Toast but the tomatoes left the menu in 2023. Too bad because that was my favorite vegan-friendly food item that Dunkin’ has had on the menu aside from the Hummus & Roasted Tomato Toast, which is also no longer on the menu.

The Avocado Toast is toasted sourdough bread with an avocado spread and everything bagel topping.

Bagels

Ryan’s go-to order is typically an iced coffee with a mocha swirl and oat milk along with a toasted Cinnamon Raisin Bagel. They are not supposed to automatically add cream cheese but he always says no cream cheese just in case.

The Plain, Sesame and Everything bagels are vegan-friendly as well.

We do not consider Dunkin’s multigrain bagel to be vegan due to honey being in it.

Hash Browns

How could we not add in Dunkin’s Hash Browns? Why do we love them? I have no idea but every once in a while they just hit the spot.

Dunkin’s Vegan Guide

We are happy and disappointed with Dunkin’s Spring 2024 menu. On one hand, the churro-flavored syrup is yummy but on the other, there are no new food options.

If none of these options sound good to you or you just want to see our complete vegan guide for Dunkin’, we have it here. It’s broken down as we have it in this guide… with categories for food, drinks and even an FAQ section if you have additional questions we may have answered.

We hope you found our Dunkin 2024 Spring Vegan Guide helpful!
