Salt Lake City International Airport Vegan Options (2023)

Salt Lake City Airport Vegan Options

Are you currently looking for vegan options in the Salt Lake City International Airport?

You’re in the right place!

In this guide we’ll breakdown each concourse, giving you the best vegan options available, where they are and a couple menu suggestions.

Keep in mind though, Salt Lake City is a bit smaller of an airport than some of the others we have guides for. There are only 11 restaurants total in the airport so naturally the amount of vegan options will be smaller as well.

Finally, we found a few local restaurants inside the airport, but couldn’t determine which, if any, offered good vegan options. If you know of any good options that we’re missing, please reach out and let us know so we can improve this guide!

Concourse A

For chain restaurants in this guide, click on the name to see a full menu. Be aware that their options may vary in the airport.

California Pizza Kitchen (A3)

California Pizza Kitchen has some really nice vegan options.

We suggest cross-referencing our CPK vegan guide with the menu that is available at this airport location. Look for their Lettuce Wraps with Chinese Vegetables, Dakota Smashed Pea & Barley Soup or Tomato Basil Spaghetti. These are your vegan as-is options.

CPK’s Plant-Based Chicken is NO longer available. We were made aware of this in May 2023.

Starbucks (A11)

With the many options of non-dairy milk (oat, almond, soy, coconut) available at all Starbucks, there is almost an infinite number of vegan drinks you can order using.

On the food side, you have a few options including the Chickpea Bites & Avocado Protein Box and Bagels (plain or everything). You can also check for their Strawberry Overnight Grains and snacks.

Jamba (A12)

Jamba offers so many vegan smoothie options. On their guide, we have listed the ingredients in each. With the addition of Oatmilk Frozen Dessert (aka vegan ice cream), you can make any smoothie a milkshake! 🙂

Garbanzo Mediterranean FreshOpens in a new tab. (A13)

At Garbanzo, you can create a salad, rice bowl, plate, fulfill… so many vegan options!

Beans & Brews (A15)

Beans & Brews Coffee House online menu has avocado toast you can order vegan and multiple dairy-free milk options. We suggest verifying if there are any other vegan options they have prior to ordering.

Cafe Rio (A17)

Cafe Rio is a ‘create your own’ bowl or burrito type of spot similar to a Chipotle or Qdoba. While Cafe Rio isn’t quite as vegan friendly as those two chains, you can put together a pretty good bite to eat.

Try either Tacos or Tostadas (the tortillas contain milk) and add beans, pico, lettuce and guacamole.

Squatters Pub Brewery (A20)

Squatters vegan options are labeled on their menu. They currently have one… Thai Yellow Curry with Sticky Rice. You can add Charbroiled Organic Tofu to it as well. They have other vegetarian options that we have been told can be modified. We suggest asking.

Their menu can change so let us know if we need to update this at any time.

Panera Bread (A21)

A couple of easy orders at Panera: For breakfast, we suggest their Steel Cut Oatmeal with Strawberries & Peans or a Peach and Blueberry Smoothie (is made with almond milk). And for lunch/dinner, a Baja or Mediterranean Bowl with NO feta or yogurt or an Asian Sesame Salad with NO chicken or wontons.

White Horse (A25)

A VeggL user let us know White Horse offers a delicious Vegetarian Vegetable Hash that can be made vegan by requesting NO egg. We were told it is a blend of veggies with hummus. Add hot sauce (Cholula) to, “kick it up a notch.”

Thank you for the info, Patrick!

Concourse B

According to what we could find on the Salt Lake City Airport Dining Page, there are only a few restaurants total in Concourse B.

Smashburger (B5)

SmashBurger may have vegan milkshakes but no other vegan options.

Pick Up Stix (B13)

You can check with Pick Up Stix and ask if they have any vegan tofu or veggie dishes. Or maybe some edamame.

Wasatch Brewery offers vegan hot oatmeal for breakfast. They only have a couple of items notated as vegan on their menu. We suggest asking if any others can be modified.

Departures Hall

Shake Shack

Shake Shack has been back and forth lately with trying out different versions of a vegan burger. It would definitely be worth asking and see if you get lucky.

Starbucks

New Starbucks Spring Items
The new Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, Ice Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso, Chickpea Box and a cameo from our Miss Mia.

With the many options of non-dairy milk (oat, almond, soy, coconut) available at all Starbucks, there is almost an infinite number of vegan drinks you can order using.

On the food side, you have a few options including the Chickpea Bites & Avocado Protein Box and Bagels (plain, cinnamon raisin, everything). You can also check for their Strawberry Overnight Grains and snacks.

Panda Express

Chow Mein* and Vegetable Springs Rolls* are all great accidentally vegan options at Panda Express. Pair these with steamed white or brown rice and add a side their yummy Super Greens*.

Cross-contamination info is available on our vegan guide for them but as with any restaurant that is not 100% vegan cross-contamination can/will be an issue. You choose your level of comfort.
