If you’re currently in the Chicago O’Hare (ORD) Airport and are trying to figure out what the best vegan options are and where you can find them, you’re in luck! Or maybe you’re a planner and you’re planning your trip advance, if so, good for you!
Either way, we have exactly what you’re looking for!

*We work tirelessly to keep each cheat sheet as updated as possible. However, things do change. If you notice a correction we need to make, please reach out to us.
Vegan at Chicago O’Hare Airport
Many of the chain restaurants will have a full vegan restaurant guide attached in the name. Please be aware that options may vary in airport locations.
Terminal 1 Concourse B
Starbucks
(Gates B5 & B9)
With the many options of non-dairy milk (oat, almond, soy, coconut) available at all Starbucks, there is almost an infinite number of vegan drinks you can order.
On the food side, you have a couple of options including Bagels (plain or everything–ask if they have guacamole or a peanut butter packet to top it with) or Oatmeal. Airport locations may be limited so you can also check the ingredients on their snacks.
Smoothie King
(Gate B6)
Many vegan smoothies are available. See our guide for your options and how to modify if need be.
Jamba
(Gate B7)
Lots of great vegan smoothie & juice options. The Protein Berry Workout “Power Smoothie” and the Amazing Greens Smoothie are our favorites.
Garrett Popcorn Shop (Gate B8)
The Plain and Buttery popcorn options are labeled as vegan on the Garret Popcorn Shops website.
Eli’s Cheesecake (Gate B9)
A VeggL user let us know Eli’s offers a vegan cheesecake slice called, “Vegan Belgian Chocolate “Cheesecake.” We suggest verifying if this one is available or what other vegan options they offer prior to ordering.
Thank you for the info, Jesse!
Tortas Frontera by Rick Bayless (Gate B10)
Guacamole & Chips, Roasted Garlic Mushrooms with Black Beans and the Taqueria Salad. We suggest verifying these options are still available prior to ordering and that let them know you are ordering vegan–NO dairy!
McDonald’s (Gate B11)
The only vegan option you will find at a McDonald’s is their oatmeal. Order it with NO cream. Technically, you could order an “accidentally vegan” version of their hamburger with NO animal patty if you really need something but be aware the fries are NOT vegan.
Dunkin’ (Gate B14)
We learned from a VeggL user that this Dunkin’ is a kiosk which means there are NO food options. You can order a coffee with almond milk.
Thank you for the info, Ben!
Chili’s (Gate B14)
Chili’s, at this location, offers a couple of items that are accidentally vegan–a modified Old Timer’s burger* and tostada chips* & salsa. See our Chili’s vegan guide for details including cross-contamination info.
Great American Bagel Company (Gate B14)
Ask which bagels specifically do not have animal products (some may contain honey or dairy)–should be any of the following: cinnamon raisin, everything, multigrain, sesame or the baguette.
Then create a Veggie sandwich with cucumber, lettuce, red onion, roasted red peppers, shredded carrots and/or tomatoes. Ask what sauces or dressing would be an option.
Tuscany Cafe (Gate B18)
NOT confirmed vegan. On Tuscany Cafe’s menu is Bruschetta with tomato, evoo, basil and garlic on a toasted crostini. Sounds like it could be vegan.
They also offer a Tuscany Salad with mixed greens, provolone, hearts of palm, garbanzo beans, olives and sundried-tomatoes. You would have to ask for NO provolone and SUB the dressing. You will have to ask if they have any options or just ask for balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
If you happen to stop by and learn of any more helpful details, let us know so we can update the guide.
Terminal 1 Concourse C
Many of the chain restaurants will have a full vegan restaurant guide attached in the name. Please be aware that options may vary in airport locations.
Wicker Park Seafood & Sushi Bar (Gate C1)

Thank you for the info, Beverly

Ciao Gourmet Market (Gate C15)
Grab-n-go items like juices, fruit, veggies, dried fruit & nuts.
America’s Dog (Gate C17)
NOT confirmed vegan. We have had multiple VeggL users let us know America’s Dog offers plant-based options–an Impossible Burger and Impossible Dog. The burger* is cooked on the same grill with animal menu items; the hot dog is not.
The ordering kiosk specifies a vegan hot dog when you order. We have not confirmed if the burger bun is vegan or if the fries share a fryer with animal menu items though so please ask, if interested.
Thank you for the info, Kimberly, Paul & Mark

Auntie Anne’s (Gate C18)
Auntie Anne’s pretzels can be ordered vegan IF they are willing to make yours without the butter that is added BEFORE they go into the oven. This isn’t just a VeggL hack, it’s something that they themselves promote on their website.
Having said that, we’ve had mixed luck trying to do this ourselves. Some locations are willing to do it and some won’t. Be prepared to wait.
Salad Works

Summer House Santa Monica (Gate E2)
We have had a lot of feedback for Summer House from our VeggL’ers.
- You will see an Impossible Burger on the menu. We had been told that this was a vegan option (we still recommended you ask prior to ordering since WE had not verified this info); however, more recently we were updated to share that the bun contains dairy.
- Chips & Guacamole are on the menu. We have not verified if the chips are cooked in shared fryers.
- Ask if you can modify a salad. A VeggL’er let us know she ordered a modified Cobb Salad.
