Is Dunkin’s Pink Velvet Macchiato Vegan?

Dunkin’ has brought back their, as they call, beloved Pink Velvet Macchiato in 2024. Technically, it was brought back at the end of December 2023 but who’s counting days when all we’re asking is if it is vegan?

Because, let’s be honest… with the discontinuation of Dunkin’s dairy alternative, coconut milkOpens in a new tab., we’re all hoping for some vegan-friendly positivity.

Is Dunkin’s Pink Velvet Macchiato Vegan?

No. The Dunkin’ Pink Velvet Macchiato’s main component, the Pink Velvet Flavored Swirl Syrup, contains dairy. There is no way around this which makes it not a vegan-friendly or dairy-free drink. 

According to Dunkin’s ingredient guideOpens in a new tab., the Pink Velvet Flavored Swirl Syrup contains:

Pink Velvet Flavored Swirl Syrup: Sweetened Condensed Nonfat Milk (Nonfat Milk, Sugar), Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Water, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Vegetable Juice (Color), Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Annatto Extract (Color), Salt

Does Dunkin’ Offer a Non-Dairy Drink Comparable to the Pink Velvet Macchiato?

Technically, no. The Pink Velvet Drink is espresso with red velvet cake flavor and notes of cream cheese frosting.

The best we can give you is to order a Raspberry Mocha Macchiato with Oat Milk.

If a macchiato is not your type of drink, we have ordered this combo in a latte and an iced coffee. Both were very good!
