The vegan options at Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Guardians, have potential for the 2025 baseball season.
After going thru every menu on the MLB App, we have put together a list below. Towards the bottom, we also share a couple of questionable items we are waiting for answers on. If you happen to learn more about these before we do or notice any changes that need to be made, please let us know!
If you would prefer to take your own food in, we also note their recommendations and provide you with their bag policies.
Finally, we looked around the stadium to find some good vegan eats in case you want to grab a bite to eat before or after the game.
Here is everything vegan at Progressive Field!
Vegan Options at Progressive Field
Most Concessions
- Peanuts
- Cracker Jack
Miss Vickie’s Chips
The ONLY vegan-friendly Miss Vickie Chip flavor is sea salt. The salt & vinegar, bbq and jalapeno chips all contain dairy.
- Section 114 & 156 @ Rally Burger
Vegan Grilled Cheese
- Section 113
Barrio
Create your own fast-casual Mexican spot. Per the Guardian service team, check with your server to confirm exact vegan-friendly ingredients.
- Section 109
Dippin’ Dots
Order the Rainbow flavor.
- Section 152
Dippin’ Dots is available in other locations but we do not know the exact section numbers. If you see one we do not have listed, let us know what section it is closest to so we can add it here.
Ohio City Burrito
Ohio City Burrito is a Chipotle-style ‘create your own burrito or bowl’ type of location. Per the Guardian service team, you’ll need to confirm with Ohio City Burrito which of their ingredients are vegan-friendly, but we think you may be able to put together a good meal.
They also offer chips & guacamole or salsa.
- Section 160
_____________
The Wild Thing^
NOT confirmed vegan.
The Wild Thing is a vegetarian sausage with vegan chili, shredded cheese, diced onion and spicy cheetos. With cheetos being used, this is obviously NOT vegan; however, we’re not sure if modifications can be made OR IF the sausage is even vegan along with the bun.
Many questions need to be asked. If you are able to stop by and find out, please help us out.
- Section 159 @ Happy Dog
Weirdly there is also a Cuban Dog here that contains the vegetarian sausage but pulled pork, ham and a cheese sauce. Very confusing.
Sweet Moses Ice Cream^
NOT confirmed to have vegan options.
In the MLB app, when you search vegan this vendor comes up. I found a random menu for this company online and it does say, vegan vanilla/dark chocolate ice cream, so we suggest stopping by and asking.
If you happen to learn more before we do, please let us know! We want to keep this guide as up-to-date as possible for all vegan baseball fans! 🙂
*Disclaimer: Always be aware that cross-contamination can occur at restaurants/concessions with shared food and prep stations. Ask if you have concerns. You choose your level of comfort.
Can I Take Food Into Progressive Field?
If you’re not excited about the vegan options offered inside the park, the Guardians have very accommodating policies when it comes to bringing your own food to the Progressive Field.
Here are the policies you need to be aware of before showing up to the park with your own food for the game. We pulled these directly from Progressive Field’s Information Guide.
Bag Policy (as of 4.10.25)
- Fans are permitted to bring manufactured diaper bags, medical bags, clutches, and small bags not exceeding 16”x16”x8”.
Food & Drink Policy (as of 4.10.25)
- Small single-serving juice boxes, one factory-sealed bottle of water (20 ounces or less, one per person), and single-serve food items are permitted.
Dietary Needs (as of 4.10.25)
From Progressive Field’s Information Guide:
“We are committed to a positive fan experience at Progressive Field and are aware that some of our fans have food allergies and/or food sensitivities. Because of the complexities of our menus, food content and food processing at Progressive Field, we are unable to guarantee that any item can be completely free of allergens.
We will continue our policy of attempting to accommodate requests for allergy free products at our stands when such products are part of our product inventory. We ask our manufacturers to provide us with notice of any alteration in their ingredients, however, we cannot guarantee compliance.
- We strongly encourage fans with any allergies or food sensitivities to bring food from home to the ball game to maximize a safe dining experience. Soft-sided coolers are permitted into the ballpark, subject to inspection.
If you have additional dietary questions or concerns while at the ballpark, please ask for a concession manager at any concession stand or at the Fan Service Center in section 153. If you need additional information before you get to the ballpark, please contact Fan Services at 216-420-HITS.”
Vegan Options Near Progressive Field
We also did a bit of research looking at the vegan options located around the park in case you want to grab a bite to eat with friends before or after the game.
Barrio Tacos Gateway
503 Prospect Ave E, Cleveland, OH 44114
Barrio Tacos is a 12 minute walk from the ballpark and offers a nice selection of vegan items.
Balance Pan-Asian Gille
515 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114
Less than 10 minutes away is a fast-casual Asian fusion restaurant, highly recommended, with vegan options.
Also in the area… We also noticed a Chipotle and Starbucks
that look to be within possible walking distance of the stadium (two of our favorite spots!)
