Dunkin’ has released their NEW drinks for the fall of 2022 and the question we all have is, “are any of them vegan?!”
First, I have to mention that fall is my favorite time of year. The temps get cooler and the leaves begin to change. It’s so peaceful.
Now on to Dunkin’s Fall Menu!
What are the NEW Fall Drinks for Dunkin’?
Dunkin’ is bringing a couple of new drinks but no new food to their fall menu.
The two drinks are Nutty Pumpkin Coffee and Blood Orange Dunkin’ Refresher.
Are the NEW Fall Drinks Vegan?
The Nutty Pumpkin Coffee is NOT vegan. Dunkin’ has a Pumpkin Flavored Swirl Syrup that is used in almost every pumpkin drink which contains condensed milk (aka dairy).
Brewed 100% Arabica Coffee; Pumpkin Flavored Swirl Syrup: Sweetened Condensed Nonfat Milk (Nonfat Milk, Sugar), Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Water, Brown Sugar (Sugar, Molasses), Caramel Color, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Mono and Diglycerides, Disodium Phosphate, Salt; Light Cream: Milk, Cream, Disodium Phosphate (Stabilizer), Sodium Citrate (Stabilizer); Hazelnut Flavor: Natural Flavor, Fruit Juice for Color.
However, the Blood Orange Dunkin’ Refresher IS vegan! You can order it on its own or with coconut milk, making it a Blood Orange Dunkin’ Coconut Refresher.
Brewed Green Tea; Blood Orange Cranberry Flavored Concentrate: Water, Sugar, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Paprika Extract (Color), Vegetable Juice for Color, Green Tea Extract, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), D-Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12).
We tried this one without the coconut and it was delicious. Very sweet but the blood orange with a hint of cranberry really comes through. Reminded us of a Capri Sun. Granted it’s been a very long time since either of us have had a Capri Sun but a kids drink is what we both first thought of.
Are any of Dunkin’s Pumpkin Drinks or Eats Vegan?
No. This includes the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pumpkin Chai Latte, and the NEW Nutty Pumpkin Coffee.
As mentioned above, Dunkin’ uses a Pumpkin Flavored Swirl Syrup that contains condensed milk in all of the pumpkin-flavored drinks except for the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. This one has a pumpkin cream cold foam (dairy) that gives the pumpkin flavor.
And as for the food options, all of the pumpkin-flavored donuts (including the munchkins) contain dairy and egg. Technically, not one of Dunkin’s donuts is vegan. And the Pumpkin Muffin also contains dairy and egg.
What Drinks Do We Recommend That Are Fall-Like?
We found a few other drinks added to Dunkin’s menu that are not getting any fall publicity–a Mocha Hazelnut Latte, Vanilla Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte, and Mocha Blueberry Cold Brew.
Let’s go through each so you know how to veganize them!
Mocha Hazelnut Latte
We tried the Mocha Hazelnut Latte Iced and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The mocha is subtle enough that the hazelnut hits on the back of the tongue perfectly. Very nice and smooth combo.
If it wasn’t so hot today we would have tried it hot rather than iced. I’m sure it’s even better hot.
TO MAKE IT VEGAN, order a Mocha Hazelnut Latte, hot or iced, with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, coconut, almond).
The ingredients list for a vegan Mocha Hazelnut Latte are a non-dairy milk of your choice plus:
Brewed Espresso Coffee; Mocha Flavored Swirl Syrup: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Water, Cocoa processed with alkali, Natural Flavor, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Citric Acid, Salt; Hazelnut Flavor: Natural Flavor, Fruit Juice for Color.
Vanilla Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte
Honestly, this drink was very vanilly and had a nice sweetness from the brown sugar but we could not detect much cinnamon, which I was looking forward to since it would help this one stand out as special.
Maybe I should say a cinnamon flavor could not really be detected but a hint of spice comes through. I noticed this more when I was breathing out through my nose after taking a drink and on my tongue.
Again, not much of a cinnamon taste but can feel the spice on my tongue. Remember the tingly spiciness that cinnamon hard candy has, that’s what it reminds me of. I’m curious if you try it what you think.
TO MAKE IT VEGAN, order a Vanilla Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte, hot or iced, with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, coconut, almond).
–> Please pay attention to your order screen and verify that the vanilla flavor shot is being used and NOT French vanilla swirl. This was an initial mistake I caught when placing our order.

Mocha Blueberry Cold Brew
This was one is so intriguing to me but I have not tried it. We have read other reviews that said just coffee with the blueberry flavoring did not make sense but I’m so curious what it tastes like with the mocha.
Technically, this one is called Mocha Blueberry Cream Cold Brew. Dunkin’ keeps wanting to add in a cream cold foam into some of their drinks automatically.
TO MAKE IT VEGAN, order a Mocha Blueberry Cold Brew with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, coconut, almond). To be on the safe side, we also suggest saying NO cold foam.
The ingredients list for a vegan Mocha Blueberry Cold Brew are a non-dairy milk of your choice plus:
Cold Brew Coffee: Steeped 100% Arabica Coffee; Mocha Flavored Swirl Syrup: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Water, Cocoa processed with alkali, Natural Flavor, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Citric Acid, Salt; Blueberry Flavor: Natural Flavors
If you have never tried a cold brew, it does taste different than a drip coffee or espresso. I suggest you try it so you can decide if it’s for you. The difference between a drip coffee or espresso is that heat is never used when creating a cold brew and takes time.
Vegan Food
If you’re also looking for vegan food at Dunkin’, we highly recommend the Hummus Toast with Roasted Tomatoes. This was introduced in the spring of this year and we have ordered it multiple times. Not the cheapest price but we love the flavors.
We also recommend their Hashbrowns or even Avocado Toast. The Roasted Tomatoes are optional on either the Avocado or Hummus Toast.
To Sum It Up…
The fall flavors at Dunkin’ could be better. Really wish we could have a pumpkin option but all we can do is ask and hopefully someday they come through.
For now, we enjoyed the drinks we tried. I think the Mocha Hazelnut Latte won for best drink with the Blood Orange Refresher coming in second. Next time, I plan to try the Blood Orange Coconut Refresher. I think coconut milk will balance the sweetness.
