Is Dunkin’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Vegan? (2022)

Dunkin Pumpkin Vegan

It’s fall 2022 and that can only mean one thing – pumpkin-flavored coffees and treats are coming back to menus!

In this article, we’re going to examine everything pumpkin flavored at Dunkin’ to determine what (if any) of their pumpkin offerings are vegan-friendly, including the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Let’s get right into it!

Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice Latte – Vegan?

Dunkin’s Pumpkin Spice Latte is made with Dunkin’s Pumpkin Swirl flavored syrup and, unfortunately, it contains dairy which means it is NOT vegan. Here are the ingredients for Dunkin’s Pumpkin Flavored Swirl Syrup:

Sweetened Condensed Nonfat Milk (Nonfat Milk, Sugar), Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Water, Brown Sugar (Sugar, Molasses), Caramel Color, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Mono and Diglycerides, Disodium Phosphate, Salt

What you should notice (other than the fact there are actually four different sweeteners in this syrup) is that the main ingredient is, in fact, sweetened condensed milk.

So, with the Pumpkin Spice Latte being a no-go, what about some of the other Pumpkin flavored offerings from Dunkin’? (Spoiler Alert: Pretty much every Pumpkin flavored coffee drink at Dunkin’ is going to use the Pumpkin Flavored Swirl Syrup and is therefore not going to be vegan)

Is the Dunkin’ Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew Vegan?

The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is actually the only pumpkin-themed drink that doesn’t utilize the Pumpkin Swirl. However, it’s made with a Pumpkin Flavored Cream Cold Foam which contains both milk and cream so – not vegan:

Pumpkin Flavored Cream Cold Foam: Milk, Cream, Sugar, Contains 2% or Less of: Pumpkin, Natural Flavors, Mono and Diglycerides, Disodium Phosphate, Gellan Gum, Fruit and Vegetable Juice for Color, Salt

Is the Dunkin’s Pumpkin Chai Latte Vegan?

The Pumpkin Chai uses the same Pumpkin Flavored Swirl Syrup that the Pumpkin Spice Latte uses. They combine it with the Chai Tea Syrup and Brewed Chai Tea Extract (amongst other ingredients) to make the Pumpkin Chai flavor.

Is the NEW Nutty Pumpkin Coffee Vegan?

No. The Nutty Pumpkin is basically the Pumpkin Flavored Swirl Syrup used in combination with Hazelnut Flavor. As has been covered multiple times already in this article, the Pumpkin Flavored Swirl Syrup is not vegan.

Is the Dunkin’ Pumpkin Donut Vegan?

At the time I’m writing this (August 2022), there are zero vegan-friendly donuts at Dunkin’. So, any donut, pumpkin flavored or not is NOT going to be vegan-friendly.

This includes the Pumpkin Donut (contains eggs and milk), the Pumpkin Shaped Boston Kreme Donut (contains eggs and milk), the Pumpkin Shaped Jelly Donut (contains eggs and milk) and the Pumpkin Shaped Vanilla Creme Donut (contains eggs and milk).

This also includes the Pumpkin Munchkins which also are made with eggs and milk.

Is the Pumpkin Muffin at Dunkin’ Vegan?

This one is also not vegan. The Pumpkin Muffin, much like the donuts, contains both eggs and milk.

Finally, if you want to get a vegan-friendly bite to eat, you can do that as well. Here are a few of the options currently available to you.
