The vegan options at Universal Studios Hollywood aren’t the best we’ve seen at a theme park (the vegan options at the Universal Studios Florida are surprisingly quite better), but there is enough here to make it work.
A couple of different spots in the Upper Lot carry a Vegan Banh Mi Sandwich. You can also find a couple of Beyond Burgers, an Irish vegan Stew and now vegan Butterbeer!
Unfortunately, Universal listed only has one option in the lower lot so be aware of that when planning your day thru the park.

Upper Lot
Three Broomsticks™
- Irish Stew (lunch & dinner) … comes with plant based beef tips and potato stew, served with fresh salad.
- Non-Dairy Butterbeer
Cocina Mexicana
- Tortilla Chips & Dip (Choose guacamole or pico)
Cocina Mexicana offers Beyond Meat. We do not know how it is cooked along with the beans and rice. None of these options are labeled vegan on the Universal website but if you happen to stop by and ask, please let us know what you learn so we can update this guide for our vegan community.
French St. Bistro
- Vegan Banh Mi … comes with zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, beets, jalapeños, cilantro topped with an olive oil blend, vegan mayonnaise, lemongrass soy sauce, and vinegar.
Krusty Burger
- Mother Nature Burger (request no French fries) … comes with Beyond Burger® with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and veganaise on a Vegan whole wheat bun.
Magic Neep Cart
- Whole Fruit (green or red apples and oranges)
Mel’s Diner
- Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger … comes with lettuce, tomato, pickle, vegenaise, on a whole wheat bun served with crinkle-cut fries
Palace Cafe
- Vegan Banh Mi … comes with zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, beets, jalapeños, cilantro topped with an olive oil blend, vegan mayonnaise, lemongrass soy sauce, and vinegar.
- Fresh Fruit Cup
Phineas Q Butterfat’s
Phineas has dairy-free options as checked on the Universal website; however, the current menu is not listing any as being dairy-free. If you happen to stop by and learn more, please let us know so we can update this guide.

Please note the following guidelines for bringing food and drink into our Parks:
Acceptable items:
- Bottled water (maximum 2 liters)
- Small snacks
- Any food required for special dietary needs
- Any food required for medical purposes and medically-indicated nutritional supplements
- Baby food/baby formula
- Soft-sided insulated bags no larger than 8.5” wide x 6” high x 6” deep
Prohibited items:
- Alcohol
- Marijuana
- Glass containers
- Open containers
- Large coolers of food
- Hard-sided coolers
- Soft-sided coolers larger than 8.5” wide x 6” high x 6” deep
- Coolers, suitcases, and bags with wheels
Please be advised that all bags and personal items are subject to x-ray and additional inspection.
