Starbucks Vegan Fall 2021 Drinks Guide

Starbucks Fall 2021 Vegan Guide

Crisp fall days are upon us and we are ready for the leaves to fall, the changing of seasons, pumpkins, spice and… oh yah, cannot forget about the special drinks Starbucks brings to their menu. We have your Starbucks Vegan Fall 2021 Drinks Guide here!

Not only are we sharing with you Starbucks’ specialty drinks for this fall but also combing through the entire menu and sharing with you our favorite drinks that will transition from the hot summer to hopefully much cooler days.

While Coconutmilk is a great non-dairy option for the summer, the fall feels more like cozy and creamy. We prefer to use their Oatmilk or Soymilk for these drinks. But please, you do you!

Starbucks Fall 2021. Iced & Hot Apple Crisp Macchiato with Oatmilk.

Apple Crisp Macchiato, hot or iced

This is the only drink that can be made vegan with Starbucks’ Fall Drinks… but please let me tell you, it is good. Pictured, I have the Apple Crisp Macchiato with Oatmilk. It is smooth and yummy!

“Layered flavors of apple and brown sugar meld like the filling of a gooey apple pie in harmony with espresso, milk, and a caramelized-spiced apple drizzle. To make it vegan, order with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, soy, almond or coconut).

Ingredients: Milk, Brewed Espresso, Spiced Apple Drizzle [Sugars (Sugar, Brown Sugar), Water, Apple Juice Concentrate, Apple Puree, Ground Cinnamon, Pectin, Preservative Potassium Sorbate, Salt, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Malic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Caramelized Sugar (For Color), Natural Flavor, Ground Nutmeg], Apple Brown Sugar Syrup [Invert Sugar, Water, Brown Sugar, Natural Flavors, Salt, Preservative Potassium Sorbate, Malic Acid]”

Pumpkin Spice. Now let’s talk Pumpkin Spice. Unfortunately, Starbucks added 3 Pumpkin Spice Fall Drinks (Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino Drink) that are NOT vegan nor can they be made vegan. The Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino both include Pumpkin Spice Sauce which contains condensed milk and the Pumpkin Cold Brew includes Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam which contains milk.

We’re thinking this is why they announced that the Pumpkin Spice Creamer they debuted early August is with Almond Milk. You can find the creamer at your local grocery or Target

To still incorporate Pumpkin Spice flavoring, at a Starbucks, we suggest ordering an Iced or Hot Latte with your choice of non-dairy milk and syrup, like vanilla, and ask for a shake of the Pumpkin Spice Topping. The Pumpkin Spice Topping includes cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove.

The Pumpkin Spice Bakery goods contain dairy and egg.

More Vegan Starbucks Drinks We Think Will Be Perfect For The Fall

…transitioning from the summer

Smores Frappuccino

This is a special one that is not on the menu! Order a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with Marshmallow Syrup, Mocha Sauce (NOT mocha syrup) & no whip.

Iced Golden Ginger Drink

While being refreshing, it’s time to start adding some spice. A golden ginger blend with turmeric essence shaken with flavors of pineapple and ginger, coconutmilk and ice.

Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso

Chocolate malt flavored iced creamy espresso… need we say more? Yum.

…it’s getting cooler. Time to wrap up in hot a beverage.

Caffe Misto

We have never heard of a Caffe Misto so we wanted to add it to the list of comforting warm drinks from Starbucks. All it is is a one-to-one combination of fresh brewed coffee and steamed milk. So simple yet warm and creamy.

Order it with one of the non-dairy milks. When thinking of steamed milk, we would suggest opting for a creamier non-dairy milk like, soy or oat. Optional topping could be a shake of the Pumpkin Spice Topping.

Cinnamon Dolce Latte

Cinnamon spice just screams cooler temps. You do have some modifications to make with this one though. Order the Cinnamon Dolce Latte with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, soy, almond, coconut). Ask for NO whipped cream (contains dairy) or Cinnamon Dolce Topping (contains dairy). Ask for a light shaking of just cinnamon on top or if ordering in the store, you can do this yourself.

This latte is still considered a Cinnamon Dolce Latte because the sweetener is a Cinnamon Dolce Syrup. The topping is what contains dairy–not the syrup.

London Fog Tea Latte

Bright, citrusy spark of Italian bergamot blends with subtle hints of lavender, vanilla syrup, and steamed milk for this frothy reinvention of classic Earl Grey tea. Order with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, soy, almond, coconut).

Hot Chocolate

Mmmm, Hot Chocolate always reminds me of the breaks we would take when I was little on the ski mountain; sitting in the lodge warming up. You can order Starbucks Hot Chocolate by letting them know what non-dairy milk you prefer (oat, soy, almond, coconut) and NO whipped cream (contains dairy).

Steamed Apple Juice

Freshly steamed 100% apple juice and not from concentrate.

Vegan Food

  • Plain, Sprouted grain and multigrain vegan bagel. Look for packaged Organic Avocado Spread, Justin’s Hazelnut Butter or Classic Almond Butter to spread on.
  • Classic Oatmeal (oatmeal with brown sugar, dried fruit & nut medley)
  • Strawberry Overnight Grains (coconut milk, steel cut oats, red quinoa, water, chia seeds, strawberries, coconut, almonds)
  • Chickpea Bites & Avocado Protein Box
  • Fruit
  • Nuts
  • Chips – double check the ingredients

Final Thoughts

If you’re vegan and like Starbucks, you really have a lot of great options whether you want something with or without caffeine, new or an old school classic.
