Can I Bring Food Into Mercedes-Benz Stadium?
Sometimes it seems like it’s easier to just bring your own food to events. If you’re thinking of doing this at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, here are a few policies at the stadium that you need to be aware of.
We pulled these directly from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium A to Z Guide.
Bag Policy (as of 9/28/21)
For quickest entry into the stadium, we strongly recommend that you do not bring a bag on event day. If a bag is necessary, the bag (including all Diaper Bags) must meet the following criteria in order to enter the stadium:
Bags must be CLEAR plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. Bags cannot be tinted with color or include oversized content that prevents visibility into the clear bag.
Only non-clear bags that are smaller than 4.5” x 6.5” will be permitted into the stadium.
Any type of non-clear bag exceeding 4.5” x 6.5” in size will not be permitted.
Diaper bags must be clear and comply with the Mercedes-Benz Stadium Clear Bag Policy. Clear diaper bags that meet the stadium’s bag policy specifications and accompany a child are permitted but are subject to search upon entry. Baby and infant care items such as bottled formula and small snacks may be brought into the stadium, however, those items must be carried in a clear bag meeting the bag policy guidelines.
Camera bags and cases that accompany any permitted personal device must meet the clear bag policy specifications or will be denied entry.
Exceptions to the Clear Bag Policy will only be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection by security personnel. Please ask for assistance at the gate.
Guests with non-complying bags can store their items for a fee at one of the conveniently located bag check locations provided by The Mobile Locker Company outside of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Bottles & Cans (as of 9/28/21)
The following items are not permitted inside of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, regardless if they contain liquid or not:
- Bottles
- Cans/Cups
- Coffee Cups
- Glass
- Soda/ Sports Drink Bottles
- Thermos/ Tumbler
- Other varieties of beverage containers
Each fan will be permitted to bring one (1) factory-sealed, non-frozen 500mL (16.9 fl. Oz.) bottle of water into the stadium if desired (no soda, flavored water or sports drinks permitted).
Parents accompanying children may bring plastic bottles of non-frozen formula or milk inside of the stadium, however these bottles must be carried in a clear bag meeting the stadium’s Clear Bag Policy guidelines and are subject to search upon entry.
Food & Beverage (as of 9/28/21)
Outside food and beverage are not allowed to be brought into Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
This includes food and beverage items purchased on the immediate exterior of the stadium (food and/or beverage purchased in a Fan Fest area outside of the stadium will not be permitted inside the stadium).
The only exceptions to the Food and Beverage policy are:
- Parents with small children may bring plastic bottles of non-frozen formula or milk, and small snacks inside of the stadium
- Medically necessary food items inspected and approved by Security Personnel at the stadium gates
- Each fan is permitted to bring one (1) factory-sealed, non-frozen 500mL (16.9 fl. Oz.) bottle of water into the stadium if desired (no soda, flavored water or sports drinks permitted)

Vegan Options Near Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Jen and I always like making getting a bite to eat before or after the game part of our gameday ritual. We figure we can’t be the only ones that do this, so we’re going to suggest a couple good vegan-friendly spots close to the stadium to try.
This is by no means a complete list, just a couple of our favorites.
Slutty Vegan
476 Edgewood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30312
Maybe we’re just biased because we live in Atlanta, but I feel like every vegan (at least in the US), has heard of Slutty Vegan. Well, if you’re in town for a Falcons or United game, then now is your chance.
Slutty Vegan is located just two miles east of the stadium. (FYI – This is not the original location. That one is located a little further away, southwest of the stadium) Definitely something to cross off your bucket list though!
Herban Fix
565 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308
Located just two miles northeast of the Benz is Herban Fix. Atlanta is a great city for vegan food and Herban Fix is one of our best. They serve up Pan-Asian food in a really cool and contemporary spot. Highly recommend the ravioli!
