We’ve tried contacting the United Center about what vegan options are available at Bulls and Blackhawks games (as well as concerts and other events).
Unfortunately, our attempts to reach someone at the arena who can help us have not produced any results (at least not yet!)
We won’t stop reaching out until we finally get an answer, but in the meantime we do have some information that might make your night a little easier to navigate.
We also have the policies you need to know if you’re thinking about taking matters into your own hands and bringing your own food to the arena
Finally, we have picked out a couple recommendations for vegan-friendly places close to the arena where you can grab food before or after the game.
Vegan Options at the United Center
We’re not aware of any vegan options inside the United Center at present time. It doesn’t mean they don’t exist, we just haven’t received any confirmation from the arena on what, if any, they are.
If you know something we don’t – please reach out to us and let us know so that we can pass on that information here to the community!
Can I Bring Food Into United Center?
Thinking about bringing your own food and/or drinks into the arena?
Here are some United Center policies that you will want to be aware of. We could not find anything specific regarding bringing in food, but judging by their ‘No Bag Policy’ below it doesn’t appear that they do.
No Bag Policy (as of 9/21/21)
With the exception of medical or diaper bags, bags and purses are no longer permitted inside the United Center. Guests entering the arena are limited to a wallet no larger than 4”x6”x1”. Bag check is available in United Center Parking Lot J on Wood St. and Monroe St.
Vegan Options Near United Center
We did a bit of looking around for vegan-friendly restaurants close to the arena in case you want to meet up with friends to get a bite to eat before the game.
This is by no means all the vegan-friendly locations close to United Center, just a couple that piqued our interest.
Upton’s Breakroom is located just a mile north of the arena. If you are familiar with Upton’s Naturals which makes vegan products like Upton’s Seitan than you’ll be excited to know that this location is attached to their seitan factory.
If you’re just in town for the day, we highly recommend trying out the bacon and the mac n cheese!
If you’re into eating raw, then Uncooked is a great place to try out. They’re located just over a mile east of the arena and they’re currently carrying a 4.8 rating on Google which is really hard to do.
