Madison Square Garden Vegan Options 2023 (NY Knicks & Rangers)

Madison Square Garden Vegan

We have attempted to contact Madison Square Garden multiple times over the past few years with no luck so we can do is go off of what they show on their website and the feedback we get from our VeggL users.

As of 2022, there is one really great option for vegans at section 116. If you happen to see any other options anywhere else in MSG, please let us know!

Per Madison Square Garden, “most locations open for all Knicks and Rangers games. Please call Guest Relations at 212.465.6225 to inquire if a location will be open for any other specific event. Stands may be closed without notice.”

Vegan Options at Madison Square Garden

Section 116

  • Simply Vegan.

A VeggL user let us know Simply Vegan offers a variety of vegan options! He mentioned a double impossible cheeseburger, brat, sausage & peppers, fries that come with 3 dips, chili, nachos, and oat milk ice cream pops.

But the options do vary and do change.

He also said sometimes they do not change their board but do add a paper sign with added menu items so make sure to look for that as well.

Thank you for the info, Dylan!

Sections 115 & 202

  • Dunkin’ Donuts

We have not confirmed if and what non-dairy milks are available so if you stop by, please let us know!

Vegan Options Near Madison Square Garden

There are quite a few vegan options near Madison Square Garden if you want to grab a bite to eat before or after the game. Here are a couple recommendations –

Beyond Sushi

134 W 37th St, New York, NY 10018

About four blocks to the north of the arena is a Beyond Sushi. This is actually the same Beyond Sushi that Jen went to on her last trip to New York.

All I can remember saying is, “I could eat here everyday.” Their sushi is not like typical sushi and not because it’s 100% vegan but because they have a very unique spin on these little bites. Highly recommended.

Panda Express

414 8th Ave, New York, NY 10001

On 8th, one block over from MSG… for a quick bite stop by Panda Express and order their Chow Mein* and Vegetable Springs Rolls*. Pair these with steamed white or brown rice and add a side their yummy Super Greens*.

Cross-contamination info is available on our vegan guide for them but as with any restaurant that is not 100% vegan cross-contamination can/will be an issue. You choose your level of comfort.

Hangawi Restaurant

12 E 32nd St, New York, NY 10016

A 10 minute walk (2 blocks) will have you at an upscale vegan Korean restaurant. Hangawi has an incredible menu that includes vegan gluten-free options as well.

Vegan On The Fly

A 20 minute walk from MSG, and a couple of blocks past Bryant Park, is Vegan On The Fly. Vegan On The Fly considers themselves a quick service restaurant with NYC vegan street food. You can even order online to have it ready to pick up when you arrive. The reviews have my mouth watering.

P.S. Kitchen

246 W 48th St, New York, NY 10036

P.S. Kitchen is our last recommendation. It was Jen’s favorite place that she ate at with her sister on that same New York trip. It’s still less than a mile and according to Google Maps, about a 15-20 minute walk.

We fell in love with the ambiance, our beautiful drinks, my Lasagna, her Vegan Chicken Pot Pie and our yummy Apple Crumble!

You will more than likely need to make a reservation and give yourself enough time if choosing to eat here before an event at Madison Square Garden.
