Guaranteed Rate Field, home of the Chicago White Sox, has some pretty good vegan options for the 2024 season. Much better than years past and thankfully a lot easier to find this season as well.
Below, you will see the most common vegan concession stand items, like Cracker Jacks and Peanuts, but also more substantial items like burgers, hot dogs, tenders and nachos.
We also have the policies you should know if you’re thinking about bringing your own food into the game and a recommendation for a good place to grab vegan food near the park.
Vegan Options at Guaranteed Rate Field
Most Concessions
- Cracker Jacks
- Peanuts
- Chips. Check ingredients.
- Garrett Popcorn. The Plain and Buttery popcorn options are labeled as vegan on the Garret Popcorn Shops website.
Impossible Burger
According to Guaranteed Rate’s Dietary page, Impossible brand plant-based burgers will be available at Grill Stands. The buns are vegan.
We did not see them listed on the MLB concessions map menus, so you will need to verify that they are there. They might be calling it a Garden Burger…

Vegan Options Near Guaranteed Rate Field
We also did a bit of research looking at the area just around the field. We were looking for a couple of places close to the stadium that would make good spots to grab a bite to eat before or after the game.
Here are the best options we found close to the field:
Runaway Cow
608 W 31st St., Chicago, IL 60616
Coming soon! Opening in the spring of 2024 and less than a mile from the field will be a 100% vegan spot with ice cream, burgers, dog dogs and more.
Veggie House
2109 S China Pl, Chicago, IL 60616
Veggie House is a Chinese restaurant serving up vegetarian and vegan dishes. Looking through their menu, I wish it was a little clearer which dishes were which, but there do seem to be plenty of vegan options available. Just make sure to check with your server when ordering.
