Vegan Options at White Castle (Updated 2025)

White Castle Vegan Options

Can White Castle, home of the slider, offer any vegan-friendly menu items? Perhaps you’ve heard that White Castle has a Veggie Burger or the Impossible slider on the menu… we share all of this information, plus more, here in our vegan guide!

I will say… if you’ve gone vegan recently and used to love the steamed White Castle slider with pickles and onions, we highly suggest giving the Impossible* version a try.

If cross-contamination is a concern for you, please be aware that this will more than likely happen at all fast food restaurants in the United States.

We share details below. Enjoy!

Our Picks

Ryan’s Pick: Let me preface my pick/review with the fact that I wasn’t a huge White Castle fan pre-vegan. I’ve had the Impossible Sliders a couple times and, for me, they’re okay. I think if you liked White Castle though, then they might be a great option.

What I do like are the old school crinkle cut fries, pretty good with some ketchup.

Jen’s Pick: I like both the Impossible Slider and the Veggie Slider. I think it just depends on my taste preference for that day. The Veggie Slider has actual vegetables in it so you taste those and the Impossible tastes like a “meat” patty. The fries are decent… the most recent ones I had weren’t very crispy though so that could have been better.
