Tazikis is a fast-causal chain that offers vegan options and began in 1998 in Birmingham, Alabama; having expanded across 16 states in the United States.
Ordering vegan at Tazikis Mediterranean Cafe is fairly easy since they put a “v” on some of their options; however, we still had alot more questions. We’re hoping if you did as well, we have them answered here.
At Tazikis, you can order appetizers, a veggie feast, a pita and a couple of salads. Their sides are plentiful as well.

Pita
- Grilled Veggie Pita. Order with NO cheese (feta) or basil aoli. Ask to SUB with hummus and/or a vegan-friendly dressing (listed below) … comes with grilled squash, zucchini, roasted red peppers, red onion, greek seasoning and roma tomatoes on a soft pita. Served with chips and your choice of side: fresh cut fruit, tomato cucumber salad with NO cheese, pasta salad with NO cheese or roasted new potatoes.

Served with Baked Pita Chips.
- Greek Salad. Order with NO cheese (feta) … comes with mixed lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, roasted red peppers, red onion, pepperoncini, kalamata olives and Greek dressing.

We’re honestly not sure. The website menu does not show it as an option, nor do any of our closest locations; however, it is on their nutrition information. We have contacted Tazikis for more clarity so until we hear back, you will need to ask your location.
–> I also checked the Birmingham, Alabama locations online ordering to see if falafel is available since Birmingham is where Tazikis began. They do not offer falafel either.
