*Some Taco Time NW locations may have a separate fryer for their chips and shells but to be safe, we are saying that all asterisked (*) fried items are cross-contaminated. Please ask questions if this is a concern for you. As with any restaurant that is not 100% vegan or does not offer a designated cooking space for their vegan options, cross-contamination can occur and fryers/grills may be shared with animal products. You can choose what your level of comfort is with these potential issues.
Taco Time Vegan FAQ
What dressings are vegan at Taco Time?
All of the Taco Time dressings that are creamy contain dairy. The vegan-friendly dressing options include their salsas and guacamole.
Are Taco Time’s tortillas vegan?
Yes! Initially, we were told the tortillas at Taco Time contain margarine and may not be vegan-friendly. I asked additional questions and received a response that said,
No animal fats or dairy are used in any of our tortillas making them completely vegan-friendly. Flour tortillas are made with vegetable oil.
Are the fryers at Taco Time shared with animal menu items?
Each location varies. Some locations may have a separate fryer for their chips and shells; however, we would rather say yes and allow you to ask questions if this is a concern for you.
Additional fryer information: Taco Time uses canola oil in their fryers.
