Vegan Options at CosMc’s (Updated 2024)

Vegan Options at CosMc's

A VeggL user reached out and asked us to create a vegan guide for McDonald’s spin-off restaurant called, CosMc’s. While CosMc’s currently only has 2 locations (1 in Texas, 1 in Illinois), there are expansion plans.

With this in mind, we have chosen to go ahead and create a vegan guide for them.

Vegan Options at CosMc’s

Other than the iced black tea, iced green tea, sweet tea, cold brew, brewed coffee, hot black tea and hot green tea, which ARE vegan, we consider all of the other drinks to be accidentally vegan.

The rest of the drinks contain ingredients that we have not confirmed to be animal-free. The ingredients we question are sugar, caramel color and natural flavors. You choose your level of comfort.

CosMc’s Vegan FAQ

Are CosMc’s Signature Galactic Boosts Vegan?

The beach protein fappe contains cow’s dairy and glycerin. The blueberry ginger boost, island pick-me-up punch and sour cherry energy boost all contain glycerin. The glycerin could be plant-derived but since they did not make note of this, we have to assume it is animal-based.

We have contacted CosMc’s to ask additional questions and will continue to update this guide if/when we learn more.

Can I Make The Popping Pear Slush Vegan?

From looking at the ingredients, it appears that if you ask for NO whipped cream, this drink is accidentally vegan. The reason we do not have it listed above is because of the lactose in the popping candy ingredients. While there is no notation that there is a dairy allergen, we are erring on the side of caution, until we learn more.

Are CosMc’s McPops Vegan-Friendly?

No. All of CosMc’s McPops contain egg and cow’s milk.

Are CosMc’s Pretzel Bites Vegan-Friendly?

No. CosMc’s Pretzel Bites contain cow’s milk.

What Are The Ingredients in CosMc’s Savory Hash Brown Bites?
