Oakland International Airport Vegan Guide (2024)

Oakland Airport Vegan Options

Are you currently looking for vegan options in the Oakland International Airport?

You’re in the right place!

In this guide we’ll breakdown each concourse, giving you the best vegan options available, where they are and a couple menu suggestions.

Note: Some locations are still temporarily closed. We suggest checking on the Oakland Airport Dining Page to the most updated openings and closings.

Many chain locations names are clickable and will take you to the complete vegan guide for that restaurant.

Finally, we found a few local restaurants inside the airport, but couldn’t determine which, if any, offered good vegan options. If you know of any good options that we’re missing, please reach out and let us know so we can improve this guide!

Vegan Options at Oakland Airport

Oakland Airport is undergoing a massive overhaul of their dining options inside the airport. It seems that they are going towards a very local vibe.

We tried to pull as much info as possible and we’ll share that info here, but we really need your help to fill in the specifics on some of these locations.

Terminal 1

Most beverages can be made vegan using plant-based milk. We do want you to be aware we have been told by a VeggL user that none of the Peet’s in the airport offer their Plant Based (Vegan) Breakfast Sandwich.

Terminal 2

Tay Ho Oakland (Gate 23)

Tay Ho Oakland is a local Vietnamese restaurant. We looked up their website and they show multiple vegan options on their menu including items like Spring Rolls, Vegan-celli Vermicelli and Vegan Braised Eggplant, Tofu & Mushroom.

–> You will see that Tay Ho is currently closed (9/2022). We reached out to them and they let us know that they are finishing construction and will be opening by the end of September 2022.

Subway (Gate 25/26)

Subway’s veggie patty is now vegan, but the locations that currently have it available seem to be a little sporadic. We suggest checking before ordering.

If you don’t get lucky with the veggie patty, there is nothing else overly exciting at Subway, but you can get a Veggie Sub and a bag of chips for a quick bite through the airport.

Peet’s Coffee (Gate 26)

Most beverages can be made vegan using plant-based milk. We do want you to be aware we have been told by a VeggL user that none of the Peet’s in the airport offer their Plant Based (Vegan) Breakfast Sandwich.
