There are some good vegan options at Staples Center and there is even more vegetarian options that sound like they may easily be modified to be made vegan (we haven’t confirmed any of them yet though).
In addition to tracking down what’s vegan inside the arena, we also looked up and shared all the policies you need to be aware of if you want to bring your own food into Staples Center.
Finally, we looked around the arena to come up with a couple recommendations for good vegan-friendly spots you can check out before or after the game.
If you know something we don’t, please reach out and let us know so we can make this guide even better! (This includes pics of items like the Buffalo Cauliflower Wrap!)

Can I Bring Food Into Staples Center?
Sometimes it feels easier to just bring your own food to an event. If you’re thinking of doing exactly this, here are a few policies at Staples Center that you need to be aware of. These were pulled directly from the Staples Center A to Z Guide
Bags (as of 9/24/21)
Bags, backpacks, purses, totes, clear bags, fanny packs, and camera bags are not allowed. Small clutches and wallets smaller than 5” x 9” x 1” are permitted and are subject to security inspection.
Medical and parental bags smaller than 14” x 14” x 6” are required to go through an X-Ray machine security screening. Please see a Guest Services team member on site for direction to the nearest screening entry.
Food and Beverage (as of 9/24/21)
Guests may not bring outside food and/or beverage items into the arena during events.
The only exception is unopened plastic water bottles, one liter or smaller (one per guest). Glass bottles or metal cans are strictly prohibited. Guests must dispose of unauthorized items prior to entrance into the arena or return them to their vehicle.
Guest Services Centers will not check-in or store any food or beverage items. Guests with specific/special dietary needs due to medical conditions or religious requirements should see our Food & Drink page for details, or contact Guest Services to discuss food options available.
Vegan Options Near Staples Center
As you might expect, there isn’t a lack of vegan-friendly restaurants around Staples Center. LA is home to as many vegan places as any city in the country. With that being said, there was a bunch of places we could have chose, but here are two that caught our eye.
Au Lac LA
710 W 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90012
Au Lac LA is located just a mile and half north of the arena. They serve up Vietnamese food that even your non-vegan friends and family will have trouble ‘noticing the difference’. The shrimp is amazing, the noodles, egg rolls and even the octopus. Yes, octopus.
Ramen Hood
317 South Broadway Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013
Not gonna lie, our personal biases are showing on this one. I love good ramen and based on the reviews this place does ramen incredibly well. Ramen Hood is located in Grand Central Market which is about a mile and a half northeast of the arena.
