16 Handles is a soft serve and sorbet store with 30 locations across 4 states primarily in the northeast–New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and then one location is in Boca Raton, Florida.
Their menu features 16 different flavors, 50+ toppings and sauces.
We are listing every flavor option that is vegan in our guide. This does not mean that every single flavor will be available at the time that you visit since they only keep 16 handles available; hence the name, 16 Handles.
While you will see creativity with their dairy-free Oatly collaboration, they also have dairy-based soft serve ice cream so pay attention when choosing your flavor choice. Their vegan options should be labeled as such.

When ordering a smoothie, you will need to verify with your location that they offer a vegan base.
From our research, the Coco Loco flavor is used as the non-dairy base in smoothies; however, it appears that not every location carries it. Ask if you can use a different flavor as the base, if necessary.

We are still waiting for info on 16 Handles’ toppings and sauces. We have looked at their list and while a few appear to be vegan (almonds, peanuts, pecans and strawberries) and even more that may be “accidentally vegan” (Cap’n Crunch or Crushed Oreos), we are not for sure.
We suggest asking when you visit.
