Vegan Options at Universal Studios Florida (Updated 2023)

Universal Studios Vegan Options

We’re pretty impressed with the vegan options at Universal Studios Florida.

With 8 different locations with vegan choices on their menu, you shouldn’t have to venture out of your way to find something great to eat.

You’ll find vegan fast food staples like Beyond Burgers, but you’ll also find unique selections like a BBQ Jackfruit Mummy Sandwich at Monster’s Café.

Also, don’t be afraid to ask about additional vegan options, especially if you’re at one of Universal’s sit-down restaurants. The rep that we spoke to told us that their chefs try to be very accommodating to a vegan diet.

Additional Notes

Our rep at Universal Studios informed us that:

For our guests with special dietary needs we request that you speak to a manager or chef upon arrival to our restaurants. Mobile Food & Drink Ordering is not recommended.

Once requested, a member of management will come out to discuss your specific situation to ensure you receive the most up to date and location specific offerings. We recommend, for a more customizable meal, that you visit any of our table service restaurants either in the Parks or at City Walk where a chef can assist you.

This will allow for the most adaptable meal during your visit and most menu choices can be modified for a safe experience. CityWalk and Full Service park locations will provide a consultation with the Chef to discuss your needs directly.

Between the amount of vegan options offered throughout the park and the seemingly willingness to cater to special dietary needs, including vegan, we were really impressed. Universal Studios seems to be really on their game.

Universal Studios Florida Vegan FAQ

The Wizardry World of Harry Potter

Can I Bring My Own Food Into Universal Studios?

Yes! According to the Universal website:

You’re also welcome to bring your own food if you prefer. Simply notify a Security Team Member performing the security bag check at the front gate that you or a member of your party has a food allergy/intolerance. Items should be contained in a soft-sided cooler; glass is not allowed.

Universal Orlando guests staying at one of our hotels may keep food refrigerated in their hotel room. The hotel is unable to hold food in its kitchen on behalf of the guest.

Does Universal Have Vegan Butterbeer?

According to a Universal Studios rep:

Butterbeer is suitable for those with gluten, soy, egg, wheat and nut allergies. It does, however, contain trace amounts of dairy so is unsuitable for vegans or anyone with a dairy allergy.
