Donatos has been a bit of a confusing one when it comes to their vegan options in the United States.
We knew they had a 10″ vegan crust but had tried multiple locations, while visiting Ohio, with no luck. Other vegans have even reached out to us saying they couldn’t find it either.
How is it possible that a company that keeps coming out with plant based meat options (love it!) is making it so frustrating for us vegans to actually be able to support them and show there is a demand for animal free options?
When updating the Donatos Vegan Guide for 2022, I went on a hunt for the vegan crust. I checked many locations online with again, no luck, so I started to question if this is even still an option.
I finally reached out to Donatos. And I’m SO glad I did.
I now have every city that is offering their 10″ Vegan Crust to share with you! But first, what are the ingredients of their vegan crust because, did you know it’s also gluten-free?
Donatos Vegan Crust Ingredients
This crust is not only vegan but also gluten-free. Please be aware that cross-contamination can occur. You choose your level of comfort, especially if you have an allergy.
Dough, Vegan (10in): Water, Rice Flour, Modified Rice Starch, Potato Starch, Sugar, Tapioca Starch, Potato Flour, Canola and Olive Oil Blend, Yeast, Salt, Xanthan Gum, Cultured Brown Rice.
I want to mention that there is also a 12″ gluten free crust on their allergens guide. It contains dairy. The cauliflower crust contains dairy and egg, while the rest of the doughs contain dairy.
The ONLY vegan-friendly crust Donatos offers is the specified vegan crust.

Donatos Vegan Pizza Options
Now, that we have where you can order a Vegan Donatos Crust, what are your options?
You are in luck. Donatos has 1 designated Vegan Specialty Pizza and 2 you can make vegan.
What is a bit weird is none of them automatically come with any of the Field Roast vegan meat options so you will have to ask to add either the Plant Based Sausage or Plant Based Pepperoni or Create Your Own Pizza.
Be aware: Adding one or both of the plant based meat options will increase the cost of your order.
The only way to not have an added cost is if you choose to create your own pizza. Choose the vegan crust with one of the vegan meats and NO cheese.
So basically you’ll have dough + sauce + plant based sausage or pepperoni. Hmm… It is an option, I guess.
Specialty Pizzas
- Vegan It’s Greek To Me … comes with roma tomatoes, yellow onion, green peppers, banana peppers, black olives, basil and roasted garlic on the vegan crust with no cheese.
- Skinny Pizza. Order with NO cheese … comes with baby spinach, mushrooms, roma tomatoes and roasted garlic on the vegan crust
- Very Edgy. Order on Vegan Crust with NO cheese … comes with freshly cut roma tomatoes, green peppers, yellow onions, fresh mushrooms, baby spinach and green olives.
Create Your Own
Choose the 10″ Vegan Crust with NO cheese then add toppings. The base cost of the pizza includes 1 topping. After that, the cost goes up per topping.
