San Antonio International Airport Vegan Guide (2024)

San Antonio Airport Vegan

If you’re walking through the San Antonio International Airport in San Antonio, Texas and you’re trying to figure out what is available vegan (and where you can find everything) then you are in the right place! And if you’re not even at the airport yet and you’re here planning ahead then kudos to you!

We’ve taken the time to scour through the San Antonio (SAT) Airport’s Dining Guide to find everything vegan-friendly in the airport and where everything is located.

We are also very fortunate that we have our VeggL community that often reaches out to us to let us know about vegan options that they find in airports as well.

So, without further ado, here is your Vegan Guide to the San Antonio International Airport.

Vegan Options at San Antonio Airport

Many chain location names are clickable and will take you to the complete vegan guide for that restaurant.

Terminal A

Fruteria (A4)

Fresh squeeze juices.

Vino Volo (A7)

We had a VeggL user let us know Vino Volo is an option. We suggest asking what options are or can be made vegan but we were told you can order Avocado Toast, Avocado & Beet salad (minus the feta), and Truffle popcorn without the butter (ask them for a little extra truffle oil instead).

Auntie Anne’s (Near Gate A9)

Auntie Anne’s Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel (order fresh with NO butter) with their Sweet Glaze Sauce.

Auntie Anne’s pretzels can be ordered vegan IF they are willing to make yours without the butter that is added BEFORE they go into the oven. This isn’t just a VeggL hack, it’s something that they themselves promote on their website.

Having said that, we’ve had mixed luck trying to do this ourselves. Some locations are willing to do it and some won’t.

Best case scenario you’ll have a bit of a wait because your pretzel will need to be made and cooked. Worst case scenario you get your hopes up for one of those delicious-smelling pretzels and you end up getting let down.

Bagel Boss (A14)

A VeggL user let us know that Bagel Boss offers a vegan sandwich called, Very Vegan. It has pinach, tomato, cucumber, tofu cream cheese on bagel.

Thank you for the info, Travis!

Terminal B

Sbarro (Near Food Court)

There are no vegan cheeses or vegan meats, but the crust and red sauce at Sbarro are both vegan-friendly. So you can make your own cheeseless pizza with your choice of bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, onions, spinach and/or tomatoes.

There are also some sides like spaghetti and potato wedges on the menu that are vegan-friendly as well.

Starbucks (Near Gate B7)

Starbucks Vegan Shaken Espresso
Starbucks Toasted Vanilla Shaken Espresso

If all else fails you can almost always count on finding a Starbucks inside an airport. They have way too many vegan-friendly drinks to list here, most with either no or only slight modifications needed to order them vegan. I highly suggest checking out our Starbucks Vegan Guide to help with ordering a drink.

If you’re also getting food, I would suggest going with a bagel. Starbucks has multiple varieties of bagels that are vegan including the Plain, Cinnamon Raisin and Everything. Look for Justin’s Hazelnut or Classic Almond Butter as a spread.

Dunkin’ Donuts (Near Car Rental Center)

Dunkin’ Avocado Toast with Roasted Tomatoes

No vegan donuts, but multiple bagel selections (like Everything and Cinnamon Raisin), Avocado Toast and Hashbrowns make Dunkin a pretty good choice.

Dunkin’ also now offers both Almond and Oat Milk (though at an extra charge) which makes many coffee combinations possible.
