Kansas City International Airport Vegan Guide

Kansas City Airport Vegan

If you’re at the Kansas City International Airport in Kansas City and you’re trying to figure out what is available vegan (and where you can find it) then you are in the right place! And if you’re not even at the airport yet and you’re here planning ahead then bonus points for you.

We’ve taken the time to scour through the Kansas City (MCI) Airport’s Dining Guide to find everything vegan-friendly in the airport and where everything is located.

We are also very fortunate that we have our VeggL community that often reaches out to us to let us know about vegan options that they find in airports as well.

So, let’s get right to it, here is your Vegan Guide to the Kansas City International Airport.

Most of the chain names listed in this guide can be clicked on to see their complete Vegan Guide.

Terminal B

Burger King (B36)

The home of one of the original Impossible Burgers, the Impossible Whopper, Burger King can hit the spot if you need some quick vegan-friendly fast food.

Grab an Impossible Whopper – order with NO mayo – and a side of fries.

California Pizza Kitchen (B36)

California Pizza Kitchen has some really nice vegan options.

If you’re in the mood for pizza we suggest opting for the Plant Based BBQ Chicken Pizza – just order with NO cheese. It comes with plant-based chicken, BBQ sauce, red onions and fresh cilantro. (You can also add pineapple)

If you want something a little bit lighter then you may want to try the Lettuce Wraps with Chinese Vegetables. They come with fresh shiitake mushrooms, water chestnuts, rice sticks and scallions tossed in spicy ginger soy sauce with lettuce wraps.

FYI: California Pizza Kitchen also has a kiosk at Gate B45. Not exactly sure if they serve a full menu or not though.

Starbucks (B60)

There might not be an airport in the country that doesn’t have a Starbucks and the Kansas City Airport is no different. In fact, there are two Starbucks in the airport. The other is located near Gate C78 in Terminal C.

Way too many vegan-friendly drink options to list here, but you shouldn’t have any issues ordering your coffee or tea. I personally recommend the Toasted Vanilla Shaken Espresso with Oat Milk (pictured above).

As for food, a bagel is probably your best bet. Starbucks has multiple varieties of bagels that are vegan including the Plain, Cinnamon Raisin and Everything. Look for Justin’s Hazelnut or Classic Almond Butter as a spread.
