Toyota Center Vegan Options 2024 (Houston Rockets)

Houston Rockets Vegan

We’ve tried contacting someone at Toyota Center where the Houston Rockets play several times to find out what vegan options are available at the arena. Unfortunately, we’ve not been able to get any responses as of yet.

However, we have done some research on what policies you need to know if you’re thinking of bringing your own food into Toyota Center as well as a couple vegan-friendly spot close by worth checking out.

We wanted to share that information so we’re putting out this ‘guide’ even though we don’t yet have the thing we, and you, really want which is what is available inside the arena.

Vegan Options at Toyota Center

As we stated above, we do not have confirmation on what vegan options are at Toyota Center. It doesn’t mean they don’t exist, we just haven’t been able to find out what they are.

If you know something we don’t, please let us know so that we can share that information with the community here!

Can I Bring Food Into Toyota Center?

Vegan Options at Toyota Center Houston Texas
Sometimes life seems easier just by bringing your own food to an event. If you’re thinking of doing that at the Toyota Center, here are a few policies of the arena that you’ll want to be aware of. These were taken directly from Toyota Center’s A to Z GuideOpens in a new tab..

Bag Policy (as of  10.10.23)

Toyota Center encourages fans to travel light and not bring bags.

  • Bags that are 5.5” x 8.5” or smaller will be screened through an expedited visual process.
  • Bags that are larger than 5.5” x 8.5” but smaller than 14”x14” x 6” will be scanned through additional screening process and/or x-ray machines that will likely require a longer wait.
  • Medical bags and parenting bags are permitted and are the only bags larger than 14” x 14” x 6” that will be allowed.

Outside Food and Beverage (as of 10.10.23)

  • Guests are not permitted to bring any food or beverages into Toyota Center.

Vegan Options Near Toyota Center

Grabbing a bite to eat before or after the game with friends and family can be one of the best parts of the entire game. We took a look at what’s close to the arena to give you a couple of recommendations of some vegan-friendly spots you can check out.

This is by no means all the options, just a couple of places that caught our eye.

Be sure to check the days/hours open when making plans.

Green Seed Vegan

4320 Almeda Rd, Houston, TX 77004

Green Seed Vegan is located less than two miles south of the arena. Not exactly within walking distance, but it’s a quick drive from the park.

They offer sandwiches, smoothies and juices and while we’ve never eaten them ourselves personally, they have tremendous reviews. People seem to rave about their sweet potato fries.

The Doshi House

3419 Emancipation Ave, Houston, TX 77004

The Doshi House is also located about a mile and a half from the arena, just a few blocks away from Green Seed. (There are actually a handful of vegan spots around this same area)

They are a vegan and vegetarian place so be aware of that when ordering. Again, we’ve not eaten here ourselves, but their reviews are outstanding. The paninis get a lot of love in their reviews so something worth considering for sure.
