Multiple attempts to contact the Smoothie King Center, home of the New Orleans Pelicans, have so far come up fruitless.
We’ll keep reaching out, but in the meantime we do have the policies you need to know if you’re planning on bypassing the need to find anything vegan and bring your own food into the arena.
We also have a couple suggestions for vegan-friendly locations where you can stop and grab a bite to eat before or after the game.
Finally, if you’d like to help us out by encouraging the Smoothie King Center to get in touch with us, here is the contact page for the arena.
Vegan Options at Smoothie King Center
We are not aware of any vegan options at Smoothie King Center at this time. It doesn’t mean they may not exist, we just haven’t been able to confirm with anyone at the arena what (and where) they are.
We’ll keep trying to reach out to get this info and will update here as soon as we get it.
If you know something we don’t that can help improve this guide, please reach out to us and let us know!

Vegan Options Near Smoothie King Center
Jen and I like to stop and get food either before or after the game (sometimes both!) as part of our gameday festivities. So, we’ll scope out the area close to the arena to find a few good vegan-friendly spots to check out.
Here is what we found around Smoothie King Center – this is absolutely not every option, just a couple that caught our eye.
Seed
1330 Prytania St, New Orleans, LA 70130
Seed is really cool-looking contemporary spot that sits just over a mile southeast of the arena. The reviews for this place are amazing (a 4.6 rating with over a thousand reviews at the time of this writing!).
People seem to really love the vegan spins on New Orleans classics like po boys, beignets and gumbo. Definitely keep that in mind if you get a chance to check this place out!
Carmo
527 Julia St, New Orleans, LA 70130
Located less than a mile to the southeast sits this tropical influenced spot with an open kitchen. Carmo isn’t 100% vegan, but they have tons of options with clear instructions on which dishes on the menu are vegan and any substitutions needed.
Like Seed, they have an excellent review score with over a thousand total reviews.
