Vegan Options Near Smoothie King Center
Jen and I like to stop and get food either before or after the game (sometimes both!) as part of our gameday festivities. So, we’ll scope out the area close to the arena to find a few good vegan-friendly spots to check out.
Here is what we found around Smoothie King Center – this is absolutely not every option, just a couple that caught our eye.
BEARCAT CBD
845 Carondelet St, New Orleans, LA 70130
A great breakfast and brunch spot less than a mile away with vegan options. All vegan options are labeled with a V. They offer a chia pudding with fruit, vegan breakfast potatoes, vegan pancakes, vegan ranchero, vegan quesadillas and burritos.
Carmo
527 Julia St, New Orleans, LA 70130
Located less than a mile to the southeast sits this tropical influenced spot with an open kitchen. Carmo isn’t 100% vegan, but they have tons of options with clear instructions on which dishes on the menu are vegan and any substitutions needed.
Be aware though, this is a seafood restaurant. I know I have an issue with seafood smells so I figured others might as well. -Jen
