We’ve tried reaching out to the FedEx Forum (where the Memphis Grizzlies play) several times to get information on what vegan options are available at the arena. Unfortunately, we’ve not received any responses yet.
However, we want to share some research on the policies you need to know if you’re thinking of bringing your own food into FedEx Forum as well as a couple vegan-friendly restaurants close by worth checking out.
Because we thought this info could prove useful to the community, we’re sharing this guide even though we don’t have the info you probably clicked on this page for. We’ll keep working on it though.
If you’d like to help encourage FedEx Forum to get in contact with us, you can reach them on their website with this contact form.
Vegan Options at FedEx Forum
Like we stated above, we don’t have confirmation on what vegan options are at FedEx Forum. It doesn’t mean they don’t exist, we just haven’t been able to find out what they are.
If you know something we don’t, please let us know so that we can share that information with the community here!
Can I Bring Food Into FedEx Forum?
Not thrilled with the options available inside the arena? Thinking you’d rather just bring your own food? Before you do, make sure you are aware of these policies at FedEx Forum. We pulled these policies directly from FedEx Forum’s Guest Services page.
Bag Policy (as of 9/30/21)
The bag policy at FedExForum remains the same (no bags larger than 14” x 14” x 6” are allowed) but there will be additional safety measures taken upon entry in to the arena, including the use of X-ray machines to screen all bags.
The use of X-ray machines will be a contactless step that takes the place of manual bag searches.
Ladies’ wristlets and small clutches will also be subject to additional screening via X-ray machine, but there will be designated express lines for expedited entry into FedExForum for those choosing to forego carrying a bag.
Prohibited Items* (as of 9/30/21)
- Beverages
- Food
- Outside food or beverages of any kind (alcoholic beverages included)
Yes, they mention food and beverages twice on their prohibited items list. You can always try to contact the arena ahead of time and try to get a “dietary restriction” exemption, but trying to just walk up to the gate with food is probably not going to go well.
*This is not a complete list of all the prohibited items at FedEx Forum. This is just a few that we felt were relevant to bringing in food and/or beverages.
Vegan Options Near Memphis Grizzlies
What about getting food before or after the game? Are there any good vegan-friendly spots close by the arena worth checking out? That’s exactly what we set out to find out and here is what we found.
This is by no means all the available options, just a couple places that caught our attention.
Rawgirls Memphis
150 Peabody Pl Suite 118, Memphis, TN 38103
If you’re into raw vegan, then this is your spot. Located just a couple blocks from the arena, Rawgirls serves up cold-pressed juices, coffee and raw meals.
Bedrock Eats & Sweets
327 S Main St, Memphis, TN 38103
Also located just a couple blocks from FedEx Forum is Bedrock Eats & Sweets.
While they are not a 100% vegan restaurant, they have a ton of awesome looking vegan options to choose from. Everything from waffles to breakfast burritos is available (and clearly marked) on the menu.
