Dunkin’s 2025 Vegan Summer Guide

As we roll into July 2025, Dunkin’ has dropped a few new drinks and food items. The good news? There might be a couple things us vegans can actually work with!

In this guide, we’ll walk you through what’s new on the menu, break down which items are vegan (or can be easily modified), and share a couple of go-to summer picks we’ll be cooling off with.

Dunkin’s 2025 Summer Vegan Guide

What Food Has Been Added?

According to Dunkin’s press releaseOpens in a new tab., they have added:

  • Summer MUNCHKINS Bucket
  • Braided Apple Pie
  • Star Spangled Donut
  • Chipotle Hash Brown Wake-Up Wrap

Are any of them vegan? Perhaps…

But that depends on you and what you are comfortable with.

Straight to the point, the MUNCHKINS Bucket, Star Spangled Donut and Chipotle Hash Brown Wrap are not an option nor can they be modified. All three contain cow’s milk and egg. The wrap has other items we do not consume.

Now let’s get into the good stuff.

Braided Apple Pie

Dunkin’ describes their Braided Apple Pie as a, “hand-held pastry… filled with soft-baked apples, wrapped in a buttery braided dough and sprinkled with sugar. It’s Dunkin’s first-ever apple pie—and an easy grab-and-go treat.”

Obviously Dunkin’s Braided Apple Pie is the new menu item I was referring to. Is it vegan? The ingredients are:

Enriched Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Ascorbic Acid, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Amylase, Folic Acid), Apple Filling (Apples, Sugar, Water, Corn Starch, Cinnamon, Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid), Palm and Canola Margarine (Soy), Water, Sugar, Salt

We say “it depends on your comfort level” because while it looks like there are no direct animal ingredients, a couple items have ingredients we can’t fully verify the source of.

We also want to acknowledge the use of palm oil. While it’s technically animal-free, the way it’s sourced raises ethical concerns due to its environmental impact and connection to wildlife harm.

You choose your level of comfort with this information.

I do want to also add that there is a cross-contamination possibility:

Egg, Milk, Sesame, Tree Nuts (Almonds, Hazelnuts, Pecans, Walnuts)

What Drink(s) Have Been Added?

Dunkin’s late June drink additions are:

  • Sabrina’s Strawberry Daydream Refresher
  • Cookie Dough Frozen Coffee
  • Mint Chocolate Chip Frozen Coffee
  • Butter Pecan Frozen Coffee

Oh wow! This is such a great lineup for the summer. Unfortunately, all of the frozen coffee drinks contain cow’s milk. They also each have their own Flavored Swirl Syrup (Cookie Dough, Mint Chocolate Chip and Butter Pecan) that contain dairy (condensed milk). How fun would these flavors have been had they been dairy-free? Ah!

The good news is Sabrina’s Strawberry Daydream Refresher can be vegan, when modified.

Sabrina’s Strawberry Daydream Refresher

Dunkin’ describes Sabrina’s Strawberry Daydream Refresher as having, “the nostalgic taste of strawberries and cream in a sip that’s rich yet refreshingly light.”

The ingredients are:

Strawberry Dragonfruit Flavored Concentrate: Water, Sugar, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Green Tea Extract, Vegetable Juice for Color, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), D-Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12); Oatmilk: Oatmilk (Filtered Water, Oats), Sunflower Oil, Calcium Carbonate, Dipotassium Phosphate (Stabilizer), Guar Gum, Sea Salt, Sunflower Lecithin, Gellan Gum, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D2, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) and Vitamin B12; Cold Foam: Skim Milk, Sugar, Cream, Soy Lecithin, Natural Flavors.

Dunkin’s Strawberry Daydream Refresher with NO cold foam. 6/2025

Is it vegan? Not exactly. And it really doesn’t make sense. Dunkin’ has created a drink that contains an accidentally vegan concentrate, a plant-based milk and then tops it with a cow’s milk cold foam. It’s confusing.

This means that when you order Sabrina’s Strawberry Daydream Refresher, you will have to order it with NO cold foam.

Dunkin’ does not offer a dairy-free cold foam to substitute.

Jen’s Review:  I Loved this drink. It took me back to childhood when I would make my own strawberry milk using strawberry syrup. It has a strawberry punch of sweetness at the beginning and then finishes with the light creaminess. Very nice.

‘OUR SUGGESTIONS AND SUMMER FAVORITES!’

(You can find a complete list of everything vegan in our Dunkin’ Vegan Guide.)

Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso

Of course, we’re starting with Sabrina Carpenter’s first drink at Dunkin’. It’s vegan as-is! This drink is a combination of Dunkin’s brown sugar syrup, oat milk and espresso.

Brown Sugar Hazelnut Oat Iced Latte

I personally like a hazelnut flavor so the combo of brown sugar syrup, hazelnut flavoring, oat milk and espresso over ice is nice.

Refreshers

Have you noticed that Dunkin’ has stepped up their Refreshers game? I’m thinking not a lot of people are aware of what all is available right now.

There are 3 fruity flavored concentrates that have multiple options to play with. I’ll break it down but first here are the flavors:

  • Strawberry Dragonfruit
  • Mango Pineapple
  • Tropical Guava

When you order a refresher (a Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher, Mango Pineapple Refresher, Tropical Guava Refresher), these all come with the fruit flavored concentrate + green tea by default.

The green tea is only one of the options you can mix these fruity flavors with though. All of your options are:

  • Lemonade
  • Oat Milk
  • Green Tea
  • Sparkling Water
  • Black Tea
  • Water

For instance, I was listening to Giggly Squad yesterday while working and saw that Hannah recommended Dunkin’s Mango Pineapple Lemonade.

As we see with the Sabrina Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher, they combined the Strawberry Dragonfruit with oat milk.

Or maybe you want your refresher to be a little bubbly. Order one of the flavors with sparkling water… a Tropical Guava Sparkling Refresher.

They even give you the option to mix a couple of the fruit flavors together. You get to play and make the best summer drink that suits you!

All in all, we’re pretty happy with the options we have. Dunkin’ now has another accidentally vegan food item, the Braided Apple Pie. That’s great news! And Sabrina’s Strawberry Daydream Refresher (minus the cold foam) is heavenly.
