Dunkin’s 2021 Vegan Holiday Drink Guide

Dunkin Vegan Holiday Drinks 2021! The Peppermint Mocha Latte with Oatmilk and the Holiday Blend coffee.

It’s the Holiday Season and Dunkin’ is ready to serve you up their 2021 Holiday Drinks beginning today, November 3! But can you get any of them vegan?

First, what are Dunkin’s 2021 Holiday Drinks?

They are bringing us a Peppermint Mocha Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte, White Mocha Hot Chocolate and a new Holiday Seasonal Blend coffee.

The Peppermint Mocha is a returner. The two White Chocolate Drinks are new and the Holiday Blend is new.

Which Drink(s) Are Vegan? …or can be made Vegan?

The Peppermint Mocha Latte is the only one, aside from getting the Holiday Blend coffee, that can be made vegan. And because of that, I have gone through Dunkin’s entire menu to tell you how you can incorporate the Peppermint Mocha Swirl into various drinks.

Peppermint Mocha Latte, Iced or Hot

Woo-hoo! Yes, Dunkin’s Peppermint Mocha Latte is back. It CAN be ordered vegan and is SO good!

The Latte has a Peppermint Mocha Flavored Swirl Syrup and steamed milk. You will need to order it specifying your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, almond or coconut).

We personally would suggest the Oatmilk for it’s creaminess but you do you!

There is an option to order the Peppermint Mocha Latte as a Signature drink. This is NOT what you want. The Signature drink comes topped with whipped cream, mocha drizzle and hot chocolate powder. The only vegan topping here would be the mocha drizzle. You can still add that to your order without making it the Signature Drink.

Peppermint Mocha Swirl Frozen Coffee

Is it still hot where you live or you just love that cold freeze on a cold day, this Peppermint Mocha Swirl Frozen Coffee is for you!

Be aware there is not a substantial amount of coffee in a frozen coffee. Isn’t that interesting? It’s a Coffee Swirl Syrup. Technically, there is coffee in the Coffee Swirl ingredients but it’s not that much. You DO get double the chocolate though, in this drink, if that tickles your fancy.

When placing your order, make sure to ask for a non-dairy milk (oat, almond, coconut) and NO whip.

The Peppermint Mocha Swirl Frozen Coffee’s (with NO whip) ingredients are:

Water, Non-Dairy Milk Of Your Choice, Coffee Swirl Syrup: Water, Sugar, Coffee, Phosphoric Acid, Natural Flavor, Dipotassium Phosphate, Salt, Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate (Preservatives), Xanthan Gum; Peppermint Mocha Flavored Swirl Syrup: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Cocoa processed with alkali, Water, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Citric Acid, Salt

Peppermint Mocha Swirl Hot Cappuccino, Hot or Iced

Order your Peppermint Mocha Swirl Hot Cappuccino with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, almond, coconut). It contains:

You Choice Of Non-Dairy Milk; Brewed Espresso Coffee; Peppermint Mocha Flavored Swirl Syrup: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Cocoa processed with alkali, Water, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Citric Acid, Salt.

Peppermint Mocha Swirl Hot Macchiato

As with all the others, order your Macchiato with the non-dairy milk of your choice (oat, almond, coconut):

Non-Dairy Milk of Your Choice; Brewed Espresso Coffee; Peppermint Mocha Flavored Swirl Syrup: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Cocoa processed with alkali, Water, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Citric Acid, Salt.

Peppermint Mocha Swirl Hot Coffee

And if you like to keep it simple, order yourself a hot coffee with the Peppermint Mocha Swirl Syrup and your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, almond, coconut)

Holiday Blend Coffee

The Holiday Blend Coffee is the newest seasonal blend with notes of sweet molasses and dried fruit. If you like to keep it simple, just order a Holiday Blend Coffee with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, almond, coconut).

After trying the Holiday Blend, I will mention that it does appear to be a dark roast.

From November 3-December 1, 2021, you can order a Medium Holiday Blend Coffee for only $2 at participating locations.

Are the New Holiday Food Options Vegan?

The food options coming to Dunkin’ for the Holiday 2021 Season are Mini Pancakes, a Chicken Bacon & Cheese Croissant and a Cranberry Orange Muffin.

Unfortunately, no. None of these options are Vegan.

What Is On the Menu You Can Get?

With the Beyond Sausage having been discontinued in June of this year, that is no longer an option but you can get:

  • Avocado Toast
  • Bagels. Plain, Cinnamon Raisin, Everything & Sesame
  • English Muffin, and
  • Hash Browns

Our Suggestions for Other Warmer Type Drinks You Could Create

Chai Latte with Oatmilk

Last year, Dunkin’ had included an Oatmilk Chai Latte on their Holiday Drinks list. While this is not a Signature Drink in 2021, you can absolutely still order it!

The Chai Latte is a sweetened blend of chai spices, including cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg combined with milk. When ordering, specify with Oatmilk or switch it up and order with almond or coconut. Your choice.

An optional twist would be to get a shot of espresso as well. Fun fact: This is actually called a Dirty Chai but when ordering at Dunkin’, we would suggest asking for a Chai Latte with Oatmilk and a shot of espresso.

Matcha Latte, Iced or Hot

Let’s be honest, this isn’t exactly Holiday flavored; however, it is GREEN! That counts, right? Order your Matcha Latte hot or iced and with your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, almond coconut) to make it vegan.

Add Vanilla, Toasted Almond or Caramel Flavor Shot To Your Drink

You still have the option to choose any of these flavor shots to add to your coffee, latte, cappuccino, macchiato or even a cold brew. Add your favorite non-dairy milk (oat, almond, coconut) and you’re good to go. If they ask if you want the Caramel Flavored ‘Swirl,” say no! You want the flavor shot. The Caramel Flavored ‘Swirl’ contains dairy.

Dunkin even has Cinnamon you could top your drink off with!

Why Are the Toasted White Chocolate Options NOT Vegan?

The Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte and White Mocha Hot Chocolate both contain a Toasted White Chocolate Syrup that contains dairy:

Toasted White Chocolate Flavored Swirl Syrup: Sweetened Condensed Nonfat Milk (Nonfat Milk, Sugar), Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Water, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Salt

We hope our guide has helped in making your season a little brighter and took a little stress out of what your vegan options are!

Happy Holidays to you and yours!
