Dunkin’ is bringing Cookie Butter to their 2022 Holiday Season menu! And to the delight of many, their Peppermint Mocha Swirl is back.

In our Dunkin’ 2022 Holiday Vegan Guide, we are going through every new menu item Dunkin’ has added. What is vegan, what is not and how to order a drink if modifications need to be made.

First, let’s go through what is new.

Dunkin’s NEW 2022 Holiday Menu

  • Cookie Butter Cold Brew with Cream
  • Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte
  • Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte
  • Cookie Butter Donut
  • Cranberry Orange Muffin
  • Pancake Wake-Up Wrap

What is NOT Vegan?

…and cannot be modified to make vegan.

  • Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte (dairy is in the white chocolate swirl syrup)
  • Cookie Butter Donut (contains eggs & dairy)
  • Cranberry Orange Muffin (contains eggs & dairy)
  • Pancake Wake-Up Wrap (contains eggs & dairy)

I also want to add that Dunkin’s Hot Chocolate is NOT vegan. They use a hot chocolate powder that contains dairy.

What IS Vegan?

…or can be modified.

You are in luck because 2 of the 3 Dunkin’ Holiday Drinks CAN be modified to be vegan. We list how you can do that plus a couple of other suggestions we have.

Dunkin’s 2022 Vegan Holiday Drinks

Cookie Butter Cold Brew with Cream

The Cookie Butter Cold Brew with Cream is NOT vegan as-is. In its original form, it has a Cookie Butter Flavored Cold Foam that contains dairy and a cookie topping.

HOW TO ORDER VEGAN:

Order a Cold Brew with Brown Sugar Cookie Syrup and your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, almond or coconut).

The ingredients will be your choice of non-dairy milk +

Cold Brew Coffee: Steeped 100% Arabica Coffee, Brown Sugar Cookie Flavored Syrup: Brown Sugar, Water, Invert Sugar, Molasses, Contains 2% or less of: Natural Flavor, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative)

–> I want to note that your experience with this drink will be different than those that get it in its original form since they are getting the cold foam that is also flavored with cookie butter and a cookie topping. You can always ask for an extra shot of the brown sugar cookie syrup if you get it one time and think it could use more flavoring.

I personally do not like a lot of sweetness in my coffee drinks so I liked it as-is. It is subtle though. Ryan wasn’t a fan because it was too subtle for him.

Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte

The Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte is NOT vegan as-is. In its original form, it automatically comes with skim milk, whipped cream and a topping that all contain dairy.

HOW TO ORDER VEGAN:

Order an iced or hot Latte with Peppermint Mocha Swirl and your choice of non-dairy milk (oat, almond or coconut). The original has Peppermint Mocha Swirl Syrup AND the Mocha Swirl Syrup. Order however you would like. 😉

The ingredients will be your choice of non-dairy milk +

Brewed Espresso Coffee; Peppermint Mocha Flavored Swirl Syrup: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Cocoa processed with alkali, Water, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Citric Acid, Salt

Dunkin’s Peppermint Mocha Swirl is one of Ryan’s favorite flavors (the other being Mocha Swirl). His typical order is a Coffee with Peppermint Mocha Swirl and Oat Milk.

Vegan Food Options

Dunkin' Avocado Toast with Roasted Tomatoes
Dunkin’ Avocado Toast with Roasted Tomatoes

It is unfortunate that Dunkin’ never brings us a vegan option when they debut their holiday menu items so we’ll have to stick with what we are already familiar with.

  • Avocado Toast
  • Avocado & Roasted Tomato Toast … comes with sourdough bread, avocado spread, roasted tomatoes, and everything bagel topping.
  • Bagels: Plain, Cinnamon Raisin, Everything & Sesame. Order with NO cream cheese. It should not automatically come with it on but we have received info that some locations automatically add it.
  • English Muffin
  • Hash Browns

You may notice that the Hummus Toast is no longer available. Another unfortunate thing… I thought it was really good. In fact, that toast introduced me to Za’atar seasoning which is now on my spice rack in the kitchen.

Tis the season…

for merriment and good things. We hope our guide cleared up what you are able and not able to order at Dunkin’ and gave you ideas on other options as well.
