Does Cold Stone Have Vegan Ice Cream?

It’s starting to feel like vegan ice cream is taking over. Dairy free ice cream now takes up an entire refrigerator at our local Kroger and I feel like I see a new brand or flavor every single time we go.

So, it’s natural to wonder if some of our favorite ice cream chains, like Cold Stone Creamery, are serving vegan ice cream.

For a long time the answer was no, but recently Cold Stone joined many other chains serving up dairy free ice cream!

In January 2022, Cold Stone added the Silk Chocolate Almondmilk Frozen Dessert to their menu.

Cold Stone’s Vegan Ice Cream

Vegan ice cream isn’t really a new concept anymore so it’s hard for a ‘frozen dessert’ to surprise you with how good it is. But, that’s exactly how Jen and I both felt when we tried Cold Stone’s new vegan option.

It didn’t even matter that it was 30 degrees in January, we both absolutely loved it. In fact, it immediately became one of my favorite fast food items anywhere.

If you haven’t already, we definitely recommend giving it a try.

Does Cold Stone Have Other Vegan Options?

Not only does Cold Stone have a vegan ice cream now, but there is a ton of other dairy free options that you can choose from. These options come primarily in the form of sorbets that are absolutely delicious and can really hit the spot on those hot summer days.

There is also a whole bunch of mix-ins and toppings that you can add to your sorbet as well. Outside of fruit, I’m not totally sure adding mix-ins to a sorbet is a thing, but hey, you do you.

Any Vegan Cones?

The final question now has to be – ‘are there any cones that are vegan or will I have to put my sorbet in a cup?’

Good news.

Cold Stone does have two cones which are vegan friendly. You can fill both the Cake Cone and the Sugar Cone with all the sorbet you like and enjoy!

Final Thoughts

While there is no vegan ice cream yet at Cold Stone, here’s to hoping for dairy free ice cream hitting a slab at Cold Stone sometime in the near future. In the meantime, stop by and enjoy a sorbet!
