Are Starbucks ‘Wicked’ Drinks Vegan?

With the new Wicked movie coming out in November, Starbucks has debuted drinks inspired by this magical musical. But are they vegan? If I’m dairy-free, can I partake in the theatrical fun?

Let’s find out if Glinda’s Pink Potion or Elphaba’s Green Elixir are vegan. Because let’s face it, if we know, we might just be changed for good.

Is Glinda’s Pink Potion at Starbucks Vegan?

The beautiful bright pink of Glinda’s Pink Potion is electric. It is described as being, “crafted with sweet mango and dragonfruit flavors, creamy coconutmilk and real dragonfruit. Topped with nondairy strawberry cold foam and sprinkles.”

This is the drink you want if you prefer a fruit based drink but with a little caffeine. According to Starbucks, it contains the following ingredientsOpens in a new tab.:

Now, I’ve heard that pink goes good with green so let’s see if Elphaba’s Green Elixir is vegan.

Is Elphaba’s Green Elixir at Starbucks Vegan?

I’m in love with the contrast of these two drinks. You have pink for Glinda and now a dark brown coffee with green on top for Elphaba. Perfection. It is described as being” Starbucks signature Cold Brew sweetened with peppermint-flavored syrup, topped with silky-smooth, nondairy matcha cold foam and finished with an Oz-dusting of magic (colorful candy sprinkles).”

This is going to be the drink you want for caffeine. According to Starbucks, Elphaba’s Green Elixir contains the following ingredientsOpens in a new tab.:
